It was easy to setup and it crushes well. I also like the space on the bottom where it falls out when it is crushed and I put a box under it to catch it. There are other can crushers out there which can crush one at a time which I have used before. This is more quick and more acurate in crushing it down and not popping out and easy to drop into a box. My only problem is that when you order it, the prices is right, just the shipping can increase the cost 50% or more depending on the place you are ordering from. If you can get a shipping cost of $5.00 or less, then I think it is a good deal. I just did not like ths shipping costs being so much. If it was at a local store, I would buy it without thinking twice because the tax would be much less than shipping.

We purchased this crusher to aid our recycling efforts and then decided to let our two young (7 & 4 y/o) children keep the proceeds for spending money. Under close supervision, they operate this crusher. I installed it just a bit lower than the instructions indicate so the children could reach it better, but changed nothing else. They can successfully operate it, and in fact enjoy doing so.

The crushing ram works very well, and the unit feels solid for the purpose. If the feeder is not kept at least half full of cans the lowest one or two tend to stand on end when the ram is retracted to allow the next can to drop into place, which is a bit of a nuisance. Otherwise we have encountered no problems. Buckling the sides of the cans a little before trying to crush them does make crushing easier, as the directions suggest.

The picture and mounting descriptions given failed to adequately describe enough about the product to really understand before I held it in my own hands. The handle shown in the picture pivots from the end of an extended base below the can feeder. The handle hangs down from the base when the ram is retracted to drop another can in place for crushing and is lifted and then pushed toward the wall in a vertical semi-circular arc. The base is solidly molded to a vertical mounting plate that is secured to the wall (preferably on a stud). There is a short opening in the base, just in front of the vertical mounting plate, through which the crushed cans drop after each compression. A container (box or bag) in place under the crusher will catch the cans.

Nice product. Easy to assemble. Definitely worth the money.

I researched metal and composite plastic can crushers and wanted something that was more efficient than stomping cans with my feet. The single can crushers that crush cans vertically are usually cheaper or higher quality, but I decided I wanted something with an auto-feed type shute. The Dial Industries M92 Can Ram aluminum can crusher satisfies all of my needs.

Pros:
- Fast, efficient, shute-fed operation
- Large lever arm makes for easy crushing
- Cans drop at the bottom into a bucket or bag of your choice
- Easy to mount and assemble
- Strong, solid feel
- Cans crush to a very small profile
- Will crush a 16oz can if done singularly

Cons:
- Crushing mechanism starts off crushing at an angle
- Can can pop up if there aren't enough cans in the shute

If the can crusher worked 100% of the time, I would give it 5 stars, but the speed you get from being able to crush multiple cans is worth the occasional missed can, making it faster than any single crusher out there.

Overall, it works better than I suspected and I'm satisfied with it for the $20 I spent.

When I got this can crusher I was a little taken aback. There doesnt seem to be much to it. I put it together and found a spot to mount it on a pole on my back porch. I filled the hopper or chute with a few cans and crushed my first one in an easy motion, came back and the can fell out the bottom and then reloaded the next can into place from the chute. I crushed it a little faster. It fell out the bottom and was replaced by another one. I had the hang of it by then. I began crushing cans faster and more efficiently than I have ever done. I cleaned up the whole bag of cans in no time at all.
I love this can crusher!
I used to hate the time it took to crush my cans. Now it is nothing. It says 10 cans in 10 seconds and Im not sure Im that fast. The cans get to shaking in the chute when you are really cruising for speed. So you can speed up or down depending on how smooth your crushing action is.
My wife came out to watch and had no problem taking my place and crushing a bunch of cans too. My son had no trouble either as long as I stood right there and made him do it. LOL!
If you need speed, I highly recommend this crusher. It is built of some kind of tough plastic so I dont know exactly how tough it is for the long term. I have already crushed hundreds of cans through mine.

works only on 12 oz. cans. if the cans are dented some times they jam. but over all this product preforms very niceley. crush many cans quite fast.

It squishes cans quite well. We used to have one of those smaller all metal units, but the handle broke nearly immediately, and had to be taped up to function. This one is a big improvement, as well as having to be used less often due to capacity. The only (slight) drawback is that the can Holder could be a little beefier. But we figure the weight difference in Plastic vs Metal was a lot of the consideration. It has not failed after hundreds of uses, so it is becoming a moot point.

Overall, it is a fantastic tool, and we recommend it highly.

Had one of these for about 10 years, worked great. I needed another one and couldn't find it anywhere but Amazon.com. Seller delivered product actully before the promised date.

This can crusher is made of flimsy plastic...I was expecting it to be alot more sturdy. The sides are flimsy and dont stay within their tabs. I would have ordered a more sturdy can crusher if I had realized this. I works ok, but I am not that satisfied with it.

I read other reviews and decided to try this can crusher. It works really well. For some reason I thought it crushed 10 cans at one time but it only crushes 1 can at a time. However, 10 cans fit in the hopper and once you start crushing the cans it moves really fast. Except for the screws, it is made completely out of plastic. Didn't think it would stand up to the constant crushing but so far so good. It's easy to operate and really gets the job done. Even the kids love to crush cans now. I recommend this product to anyone who wants a fast and efficient crusher.
