Aluminum Canteen & Olive Drab Pistol Belt Kit

The canteen is a cloth covered thin aluminum canteen on a thin web belt with a soft metal slip clip. Should cost $5 with free shipping at the most. Okay for indoor use, but wouldn't take it camping. The canteen halves appeared to be pressed together instead of welded. I own several canteens built for real world camping, so I know a piece of cheapo junk when I see one.

So some of you may look at the OD green and the fact it includes a pistol belt and this think this is a mil-spec canteen. That it is NOT. It's a cheap aluminum pressed version at a ONE QUART size. This isn't mil-spec by any means. I am suspicious this can even hold up to a long weekend hiking (I will find out this weekend), but it is definitely NOT the real deal. My advice is to head to a surplus store, or find a REAL GI issue canteen here on amazon. Example: [...] Don't waste your money on this garbage like I did.

Great product. I'm using it primarily as a costume prop, but the canteen is very spacious and I'll certainly be using it as it's intended - to hold water.

The only negative thing I can say is that the canteen metal is thin and may dent easily. I don't think it's aluminum, but it may be thin steel.

The produce is not as robust as real military issue, especially the belt, but it is adequate. The canteen and cover are quite good.

I've been wanting a canteen, preferably metal and this is what I decided to get. I also like the olive drab color, makes it look cooler, more of a military look. The belt kit is pretty great too, did what I needed to do.

I bought this thing for a costume I planned on making, the belt itself is a bit small on me but it can fit (around 40 or so inch waist) which is nice, but the canteen is god awful for practical use, damn thing leaks on me so its useless as anything but a prop. But hey, I bought it for the looks not for the function so... meh. My review is to look at Army Surplus stores online for better prices and better quality, cuz neither is really here with this product.

Small canteen, great for scouting and not hauling around the gallon jug. belt is standard and looks great with my outfit.....just kidding about the outfit thing.

BOT THE CANTEEN FOR APPROPRIATE USE IN A MILITARY PARADE. CANTEEN WAS EXCELLENT. THE BELT FASTENER WAS NOT SECURE.

I would save your money and go to a military surplus store. Both the belt and the canteen are not of the quality that was expected from the description and photo. I suppose it would make a cool toy for a child to play with in the back yard. The belt could be described more as a plush fabric accessory rather than a "pistol belt." It certainly won't be the belt to hold my pistol. Off to the surplus store to get something functional. At least it was delivered quickly, I have enough time before going to Alaska to purchase something that will work with a large caliber handgun.
