This pump is unique in that it does not have the usual clamp down lever that you find on most bike pumps. Just push it on and pump. It works for Schrader and Presta valves. To use it on my presta valves, I just had to unscrew the black part on the end a little way, but it's captive and won't come competely off. Then I just pushed it on and pumped.

Very good portable pump when you need to have one with you on the trail. The quality is really excellent. CNC machined and made in Germany, and it shows. This is not a cheap plastic pump, but a high quality pump that will last for many years.

I recommend to anyone looking for a simple, high quality portable pump.

The German engineered machined aluminum bike pump is the perfect addition to my four bikes; road, mountain, racing and leisure. It is a well engineered bike pump, light weight, simple to use. This is for anyone who wants a dependable bike pump, if you want to take a chance on plastic version to i am sure you will find one but not as good working attractive and simple as this bike pump by RAUSCH. Added comment-I tried on my different tires and all was good, simple to change between Presta and Schrader, just saying. Have not tried ball needle yet but can not imagine an issue based on other experience with Rausch bike pump. :)

This is a good bike pump. It's solidly made; however, the 6.7 oz. weight means it's not too heavy to carry with you if you don't feel like packing those little cans of compressed air. I've ridden many thousands of miles over the years and tried various pumps, so I appreciate quality when I see it. The 210 psi pump capacity means less energy expended to fill your tires. No need to sweat the small stuff! I like this product and would definitely recommend it.

This is a great pump. You can feel the quality of the pump just by holding it in your hands. One of those items that you know will last you a long time. It is simple to use, simply screw the pump onto your valve (presta in my case) and pump away. I was able to inflate my tires from 0 to 120 psi in just over one minute of actual pumping and without exhausting effort.

At first I was a bit skeptical about the frame mount included with the pump - thinking that it wouldn't hold the pump in place or that it would be in the way. After riding for over 500 miles now in the last 3-4 weeks that I've had this pump I can say that it isn't in the way and that I don't have to worry about it falling out due to hitting potholes or other road hazards. This might be a different story for mountain/off-road riders however.

The only thing that I could see potentially being an issue (and not worth taking off a star) is that road grime/gravel tends to get kicked up and stuck to the pump as I ride, even in dry conditions. This might only be an issue if the pump nozzle gets plugged, however I will just include a quick cleaning of the pump in my routine bike maintenance to make sure that stays clean.

Overall a great, high quality pump that should last for many years to come.

This air pump for bike screams superior quality. From the moment the package was handed over to me I noticed right away the weight of its content. I am thoroughly impressed that it looks, feels and works like a well crafted air pump that it's advertised to be. It is compact and I really love that it's made of aluminum because I have had plastic pumps in the past for our road bikes and it's nowhere as easy to operate like this one. Lastly, I really appreciate it has both Presta and Schrader valve compatibility.

Excellent job Rausch!

I was pretty excited when I got the package in the mail on 11/7/2013, and decided to check right away how it works. My bikes have both types of valves. I will keep it short, and say that for two hours I couldn't get this thing work. It failed to pump ANY air through the Presta valve, actually, it deflated both tires. I started with the email instruction I received from Mr. Timo Rausch, on how to pump Presta valves (actually, it should be a sign of a red flag when the maker needs to include email instructions for their pump use!). It didn't work, I tried every possible little variation... Nothing. Then, decided to try it on Schrader valve... Again nothing! Tried it to inflate a volleyball, to my amusement, I was only able to inflate it about halfway. That's all! With my left thumb, I was able to fully block any air coming out of the pump. I couldn't believe this pump could have been this bad. Additionally, in the process of setting the pump for Presta position, I cut my index finger at two places on the sharp edge of the tread while unscrewing the tip. I am not sure if I have a defective pump or the pump does not work at all due to a design flow. I ended up returning this product. I also contacted Rausch... Mr. Timo Rausch responded to my email and said that he would follow up on the issues with my pump and get back to me. Since then, almost two months have passed, and I have yet to receive an answer. I wouldn't refer this pump to anyone. Currently, I'm keeping a couple of CO2 cartridges with my bike, and as far as the main pump for my garage, I recently purchased Topeak's Joe Blow Sport II pump for $40. It works great and I'm very happy with it.
