I was extremely surprised at how well this stand was constructed. The stand is mostly made of a solid metal alloy and the plastic that is on it appears to be of high quality (hard molded). I've been using it for about two weeks now and the stand is stable and well balanced. I can work on my bike without worrying about tipping it over and the clamp arm can be raised and turned at different angles without compromising stability (one of my bikes is a 29er with 20" frame). The clamp itself is a bit wonky and you'll have to play with it a little to get it to work right. I think maybe the adjuster screw was installed incorrectly when I got it. After playing with that a bit it now works fine. Do not allow that to be a deterrent from getting this stand however. You're getting a lot for your money here.
It also comes with a tool tray with a drink holder which is a nice added feature. On most of the stands I've seen (even the higher priced ones), the tool tray is usually an add-on you have to buy separately. The stand comes mostly pre-assembled, so you're pretty much up and running right out of the box (other than the the clamp adjuster screw I had to reinstall correctly but that was a quick fix).
My only negative feedback was with how the unit was packaged. It looks like they tried to ship it in a box that it didnt really fit into.Read more ›

1) The head is actually much easier to unfold than I initially thought, you just need to put some pressure on the knob
2) There's a small slot on the head that aligns with a metal plate on the stand to lock the head firmly in place (it's in the instructions I did not read).
3) The stand is sturdy!
4) The tool tray has a drink holder - very cool.
This is a very portable sturdy stand and for the price on Amazon I would highly recommend.
*Had a decent size scratch on the anodized aluminum leg, but its a tool, and it's going to get used so it didn't bother me.
*You have to be stronger to squeeze the clamp which works just like vise-grips than you would with a large spinner type.
*It's not quite big enough to hold any of the 3 bikes I tried with the top tube horizontal. You have to lower the front wheel about 15 degrees or it wants to tip over
*There is enough flex in the gear cog that you use to move the bike that it binds up and wont click into place without help.
*Solid, no wiggle
*Light weight enough
Tubing is large and has a nice annodize on it. The stand is very stable because of the tubing.
The clamp is very easy to adjust, both rotating 360 and tightening on the seat post.
Portability is great because this folds down to a small size easily.
The seller has also been very good and easy to deal with. I returned the old rack on his dime. He has been great to communicate with.
So now my rating is 5 stars. A complete turnaround.
So I was looking for a good bike stand and was about to get a park, spin doctor or feedback sports then I saw this and it looked like a good deal. A new stand for 70 bucks sounded awesome! Boy was I wrong, when I got it, it was wrapped in very thin bubble wrap, the stand was covered in dirt and dust, It had several deep gouges and scratches all over it( pictures posted in customer picture section), the stand would fall down with bike attached even with cheap plastic clamps bottomed out and tightened all the way, When you pull up on the head the whole stand comes out into two pieces. The only part of the stand that was nice was the tool tray. Very poor craftsmanship. Obviously the stand was used and sold to me as a "new" product. After several emails and time wasted the seller agreed to give me my money back minus the initial 12$ shipping price and 25$ return shipping.
I contacted Amazon with several emails and they refunded me the 12$ but not the return shipping. I thought with there A to Z coverage I would be fine but they did not help me even after seeing all the pictures I sent them. I'm sorry but I have been a good customer for Amazon over the years I expected them to handle this better. From now on I'm afraid to deal with Amazon 3rd party dealers because this could happen again. If I was returning for another reason I would have no problem paying for return shipping but I did not get what I paid for.Read more ›

This is worth the cost but it could be better if there was an instruction book that explained how to use the front wheel stability link and other aspects of the stand. Read morePublished 5 months ago by William Dixon

Classic example of you get what you pay for. I ride a XL Giant Talon 3. The head does not support the weight of the bike. It rotates soon as I take the wheel off the ground. Read morePublished 6 months ago by Shawn See
