THE definintive Alundra guide,
By "Dud"dy Kong (California) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Alundra: Prima's Unauthorized Game Secrets (Paperback)
I must take exception to the negative reviews I've read of this book. I have both the Working Designs guide and this guide, and this guide is by far the superior product. Let's do a side-by-side comparison. In the WD guide, what you get for an ENTIRE chapter of gameplay is two, count 'em, TWO, pages of A SINGLE GAME SCREEN with the "hints" in little bubbles with arrows pointing to the pages. In the Prima guide, you get a COMPLETE AND DETAILED WALKTHROUGH, with absolutely no stone left unturned. Also, the Prima guide has over 70 screenshots (I know 'cause I counted) and an incredibly detailed map! I believe the people who left bad reviews simply couldn't be bothered to READ. So, why don't they get someone to play the game for them, too?

Filled with errors and misleading information.,
By A Customer
This review is from: Alundra: Prima's Unauthorized Game Secrets (Paperback)
Unauthorized (and most authorized) Prima books are horrendous, and this book is no exception.Contrary to what another reviewer said, there IS another guide to Alundra: the Alundra Official Strategy Guide, from Working Designs (the producers of the game). I don't believe Amazon.com stocks it, but you can order it directly from WD. It's superior to this unauthorized guide in every way, with full-color maps of EVERY area.

Misguided,
By A Customer
This review is from: Alundra: Prima's Unauthorized Game Secrets (Paperback)
This 'book' is ... horrid. With very few 'maps' and most inaccurate, some even just plain wrong. The WorkingDesigns book is much better in comparison, mapping everything in color, not just black and white. I found beating the game easier without the guide then with it.

Fairly good but has some mistakes, can be hard to follow,

This review is from: Alundra: Prima's Unauthorized Game Secrets (Paperback)
This guide is fairly good, and is accurate in most respects. There are a few errors in it, though, and I cannot give a high rating to a guide with errors. It can also be hard to follow sometimes, like giving you directions to solve a puzzle without telling you where to go to encounter the puzzle. The guide can be quite hard to follow and has some mistakes, which is why I gave it such a low rating.

Well-organized but confusing,
By Will Herrick (Howell, MI) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Alundra: Prima's Unauthorized Game Secrets (Paperback)
This strategy guide for Alundra was somewhat good, going through most of the puzzles with detail. At points, it got frustrating however, due to the guides utter lack of many pictures/maps and their tendency to forget little things which may seem important. However, it is the ONLY guide to Alundra, and the game is much easier with it than without it.
