What separates Aluratek digital photo frames from other brands is picture quality, ease of use, and affordability. You cannot get a better quality image or video than what Aluratek frames deliver, thanks to the best quality "true digital" LCD panels that are available on the market for production. Combined with an easy-to-use interface, wide format support, and the simplicity of automatic playback, Aluratek digital photo frames are the best choice for storage and playback of your important memories.

View hi-resolution pictures, listen to music and watch videos easily on the TFT true color LCD panels at amazing resolutions. Most Aluratek frames come with built-in flash memory ranging from 256MB to 2GB. Transfer files quickly and easily to the on board memory with USB 2.0, or easily insert a compatible memory card directly to the memory card slot on the frame. With Aluratek's digital photo frames, you can share all your digital pictures, videos, and music files with family, friends, and coworkers.

True Digital LCD Panels for Clearer Pictures

What does it mean to use a true digital LCD panel in an Aluratek digital frame? It means that all of your pictures or videos will be noticeably clearer and much crisper than others that have decided to use analog panels as cost-cutting measures. The advantage of utilizing digital panels over analog panels is very similar to the difference in watching HDTV (High Definition Television) instead of standard definition TV. It makes a big difference to watch in crisp clear HD as all the vibrant colors and intricate details will be noticeably better.

Easily Enjoy Slideshows

Aluratek photo frames recognize a wide number of photo, audio, and video formats automatically, and you can add photos via USB, memory card, or thumb drive. Playback is as simple as turning the frame on.

Ultimate User Friendliness

In addition to high build quality, Aluratek has also answered the call when it comes to affordability and ease of use. With the non-technical consumer in mind, Aluratek has designed and developed the User Interface software to be as user friendly as possible. It is very simple to use and mount!

Nevertheless it seems like digital frames, no matter how expensive, are designed not to last and that is why the manufacturers give you such a short time guarantee.

To "unfreeze" it, I had to unplug the power, plug it back in, and turn it on, then starts the slide show again.

This picture frame shows off our treasured memories beautifully. The display is crisp and bright. Even though the display is 16:9, it fills the screen with the picture so you don't see any black bars (except for portrait photos). The face detection feature is cool in that it zooms to faces it detects in the picture, giving it a "Ken Burns" effect. The frame also has a timer feature so I've scheduled it to turn off at midnight and turn back on at 9am, so this should save power and hopefully increase the life of the frame. I don't plan on using the video or music features with this frame so I didn't bother looking at that. There are a couple of significant limitations with the frame, that although I have chosen to live with them, others may find frustrating. First off, the slideshow does not randomize the pictures, so they are displayed in the same order all the time. I figure I will be looking at the frame at different times of the day and will see different pictures anyway. The next thing is that even though I have "random" transitions selected, it only seems to use the dissolve transition. Again, not a deal breaker for me, but could be annoying to others.

In conclusion, the frame is not perfect (almost there), but the primary purpose of a frame is to display your pictures, and this frame does that beautifully.

Why are digital frames so poorly made? This 19" Aluratek lasted only ten days! At the beginning it looked great, fabulous image quality and excellent commands. However the slide show started freezing on one image and then distorting it into vertical bars until no command or function was responsive. Finally I had to disconnect it from the outlet because I was unable to turn it off. This was my second digital frame, the first (15" IMPECCA) lasted about one year until one day the frame just turned off and never came back on! of course after a year it had lost its guarantee so I had to dispose of it. Both frames seemed good quality and they both were well looked after, just as the owners manual indicates. Nevertheless it seems like digital frames, no matter how expensive, are designed not to last and that is why the manufacturers give you such a short time guarantee. I contacted Aluratek's customer service, they were courteous and helpful and they told me that it seemed to be a software malfunction. Because it was a recent purchase the return process was free. I liked this frame and hope that the replacement is better. I am still waiting for it so until then I won't leave my final judgment.

This is one of the best investments that I have ever had for my restaurant!
We install 5 screens all over the restaurant and mind you they are running
continuously 24/7 everyday! I have one of them in the main lobby where
people are waiting for a tablet 4 others all over the walls.

We our specials, images, and kitchen images and our customers love and
order additional things that they couldn't see on the menu.

It has been running for over a year now, and it is worth the investment!

Just this past week in April 2013, I received the first shipment of this frame from Newegg on the Internet; it arrived DOA - nothing but a white screen of death immediately upon plugging it in. Needless to say absolutely nothing would work and it was returned the very next day to be exchanged for an identical, hopefully functional frame.

This replacement frame arrived today (04/24/2013) and although functional (as in not DOA) it was quite a letdown - an extremely glitchy, technically deficient performer:

1) The frame had a clearly noticeable black spot in the lower left corner of the glass screen. This was apparently on the inside of the glass and could not be removed.

2) The frame would only sporadically recognize my inserted SD card with photos - sometimes yes & sometimes no.

3) The remote control was not consistently functional; often pressing the desired button many times would accomplish absolutely nothing.

4) The internal 2 GB memory could not be accessed to load photos and was thus completely useless.

5) The slideshow functionality - arguably the most important function on such an item - was a total hit and miss proposition. More often than not, there was no show of any sort. Also note that the maximum display duration for individual photos in a slideshow is only 30 seconds! How about some additional more meaningful time intervals (1 minute, 5 minutes, etc.)?

This second Aluratek frame will be returned to Newegg tomorrow (04/25/2013) for a refund.

I should mention that this is my third digital frame. The prior two frames which I have owned both performed flawlessly: simply insert the SD card, turn on the frame and instant picture show just like it should be.

I've brought this picture frame last year and was excited and happy to see the 19 inch size with great resolution. But as I start using it I've gotten very disappointed. I mainly used it for displaying pictures. So the slide show is really the only option I used. It isn't much, it doesn't have the random pictures viewing. It will only shows you the order of the pictures you've copied them to the memory card. So if you want to "randomly" display your pictures, you'll need to copy the pictures the order you want to view them. And if you're lucky, the slide show wouldn't freezes within the hour. Mine froze quite frequently, sometime it would freezes within an hour and if I'm lucky, a few days later. To "unfreeze" it, I had to unplug the power, plug it back in, and turn it on, then starts the slide show again. You won't be able to start where it last left off but at the beginning again and again. Some day, it got so annoying, I just left the frozen picture displaying for days or weeks.

And the remote, you can't use it far from the frame or at an angle, it will not work. I haven't tried to use the video or music yet but I guess I'll never be able to because it's dead now! It will not turn back on!

This digital picture frame is a bad lesson of what not to buy!
