This review is for the wii version of chipwrecked. This is a really cute dance game for younger kids. It's kind of a young version of Just dance with simplistic moves that any child can get good scores at.

I like that everything on the screen is read for the kids - that's one thing I find hard about some games geared at kids who can't read great yet - when the parent has to read everything for them! that's not the case with this game. the chipmunks read it all.

There's a co-op mode, a just dancing mode, and a story mode, where the related story is read between songs.

I wish there was a little bit more time to switch players in the coop mode (they both use the same remote) but other than that it's a very cute game.

Great for any alvin and the chipmunks fan - boy or girl - because you can play as any one of the boy or girl chipmunks in this game.

I am a huge Chipmunk fan so naturally when I got a Wii for Christmas this was the first game I went for. Yes, it's aimed for kids, but it's sophisticated enough for adults to play too. I have the Squeakqual videogame on my DS and I can assure you that if you didn't like the Squeakqual game but you're a fan of the Chipmunks, you should still give this game a try. Chipwrecked is, in my opinion, a lot better than the last game.

What's Better?
- You can play as any chipmunk or Chipette (The last game didn't let you choose)
- You really get to dance and you don't lose points for doing a move wrong. You can only earn more points for doing a move right.
- Lots of classic song choices and a few new hits from their newer albums
- Customizable clothes that you buy with the stars you earned during dance play
- Good exercise for those who spend most of their time playing videogames or for those who want to exercise and have fun at the same time
- Better graphics--I'm not sure if it was because of the DS, but the Chipmunks in the last game looked more like toys but these chipmunks look like they came straight from the movie. Their dance moves are clear and smooth and look very real.
- Dance moves that are simple enough for children to copy, challenging enough to entertain adults, and good enough to be real dance moves that you could use in a real performance
- For those who have no dancing experience but would like to learn, this is a good place to start. You learn real dance moves as you play because you have to copy them. That is much better than just watching someone dance on screen while you press a bunch of buttons to make them do better.

What could've been better?
- From what I can tell, there are only two songs out of the 30 in the list that are by The Chipettes. They are La Bamba and Turn the Beat Around. Though the other songs are great classic hits that are very hard to find now, they could've added some more songs by the girls. The last game had an even number of songs by the boys and girls.
= I do appreciate the story mode, but it is slightly cheesy compared to the usual Chipmunk theme. They could've also added different levels of play, but honestly, I'm fine with the level it's at.
- You have to use the same remote for co-op mode. It's fun to taking turns dancing, but it would've been cool if they also made a "Dance-Off" mode where two people dance at the same time and whoever gets the better score wins.
- They could have a few more outfits to choose from for each Chipmunks, but I'm not really complaining about that.
- Just as a warning for parents, the song "Walking on the Sun" does contain the phrase "What the hell happened?" It shocked me when I heard it because the Chipmunks don't curse anywhere else in their music, shows, or games. However, this is a minor thing that only happens once and since the game is rated E-10 I do think it's fair.

Fans of the original Alvin and the Chipmunks cartoon will appreciate:
- The original voices from the cartoon instead of their new movie voices
- Songs originally done for the cartoon in the 80's and 90's
- The top three classic songs that make the Chipmunks famous (though re-recorded to sound more modern) "We're the Chipmunks", "Witch Doctor", and "The Chipmunk Song"
- Dance moves and locations that speak the original Chipmunk theme and relate to the new movie at the same time

All in all, this game is much better than the previous one, and it is enjoyable enough for all ages. You could use it during dance parties. You can get a good workout. You can learn how to dance like a star. You could entertain your kids. You can even just play to enjoy the Chipmunks. But don't think this is just for the kids. It's fun for everyone.

I would recommend this game to:
- Chipmunk fans
- Dancing fans
- People who want classic songs in a videogame
- Children (especially Chipmunk fans and energetics who need to let out energy all the time)
- People who are looking for good games to get exercise from
- Pretty much anyone who has a game system that this game is compatible with

I love this game. It is a lot of fun and has dance moves that would be easy for children to learn. I am not coordinated so I like easy moves =) My 3 year old doesn't understand the concept, but loves watching me dance to chipmunks songs. He even gets up and tries sometimes. We have a lot of fun with it. I love a lot of the songs on there, but I wish there had been more classic chipmunk songs from the cartoons.
