Well I'm 24 years old and I'm reviewing a Chipmunk CD. Therefore, you can easily say a dork is reviewing this, and it's probably credible!

My dad grew up with the Chipmunks, I grew up with the Chipmunks, and now my son is. It's sort of a family tradition! Even my mother and my grandmother still love them! To quote them, "They rock!"

So, of course I picked up this latest addition to their catalog, which is also the soundtrack to their first live-action movie. The first song "Bad Day" started up, and already I liked it. I'd easily say it's one of the best songs on the CD. Other standout cuts include "Only You" and the rock version of "The Chipmunk Song". (You had to have known that "Chipmunk Song" and "Which Doctor" would be re-recorded yet again for this! But no biggie.)

The only song I seem to skip every time I listen to this is "Ain't No Party". I just think it's absolutely terrible. Then there are a few songs that aren't quite as good, but they aren't really bad either. (Such as "Get Munked").

It's nice to have the "classic" versions of "Which Doctor" and "Chipmunk Song" on here, particularly "Which Doctor". This version is from 1958, which was originally released under the name "David Seville". This is not the re-recording done for the second Chipmunks album, but in fact the original first version. This used to be somewhat of a hard recording to find (well, at least for me anyways) so it's very nice to have.

So, all in all, if you grew up with these guys like I did, then I don't think you will be too disappointed with this. Now I can't wait to go see the movie! My parents took me to go see "The Chipmunk Adventure", and now I get to go take my son to see this!

We loved the movie, and my kids are really enjoying the soundtrack. My kids are 5 and 7, and both have the songs on their Mp3 players. I find myself smiling when listening to the music, since some are new versions of songs I'm already familiar with (funky town, bad day, etc). Very cute soundtrack!

I thought the movie was great and part of what made it great was the music, as always with the chipmunks. I have to say I'm not a big fan of hip hop or rap, but I can't help but like most of the songs on this album. Maybe it's the adorable high pitched voices. I love the new rendition of Witch Doctor and The Christmas Song, but i also love that they added the original versions on the cd as well. There are a few songs that i skip over, but for the most part this was worth my money.

For twenty-seven years I have been a fan of the Chipmunks (since my brother brought home CHIPMUNK PUNK when I was six). Over the years I've become familiar with both their 1960s and 1980s cartoon shows. I went to the theater and enjoyed most of the new film that this soundtrack is based on.

I am giving it three stars because there is some music I enjoy more than others on this CD. For me, the best tracks are: "The Chipmunk Song" (all three versions), "Bad Day", "Only You (and You Alone)", "Funkytown", and the original version of "Witch Doctor". The other tracks I could have done without in the film and on this CD.

However, I realize that's a matter of taste, and some of you probably have the opposite opinion. As always~Alvin, Simon, and Theodore get five of five stars.

My mom, kids & I went to see the movie--a must see. It brought back many memories & was very funny. We all enjoyed it, thus I purchased the soundtrack. The kids have been bouncing around the house & I use it to exercise too as well. The kids favorite is track 5. They had never heard of the chipmunks. I hope they are still around when they are grown with their own kids.

Before anyone tries to discount my review and think that I'm not a credible source, I am 22 years old, a college graduate, and an educator.

I've just come home from watching the movie. Though the movie itself was cute and average, the soundtrack blew me away! I usually dislike remixes or any deviation from the original version, but several of the songs on this album impressed me. My personal favorite is the remixed version of "Witch Doctor." "Only You (And You Alone" is a close second with the Chipmunks' version of "Bad Day"--in my opinion--being better (and cuter) than the original. All other songs were okay, but it was worth buying the album for me.

Listening to the Chipmunks is a trip back to my childhood. I grew up listening to the Chipmunks, especially during the holiday season. I hope that when I do have children that they will also appreciate and grow up with the Chipmunks just as I have.

This soundtrack is fun, and I love the remake of the Christmas song. My children also love it and wanted the songs on thier Sansa Shaker.

I liked the version of Bad Day and Funkytown that was in the movie. In the movie there was no background music and it was very original and worked well. on the soundtrack it was basically the original version of the song with the chipmunk voices. I docked 2 stars for that, otherwise Fairly descent.

After seeing the movie we went right out to get the CD -- all of us love the songs -- from my youngest at 5 years old to me at 39! Great that they have both the original versions as well as the updated ones for Witch Doctor and the Christmas Song.

Definitely a great CD for the family

I enjoyed this product quite a bit. I'm in my twenties, but I grew up watching reruns of Alvin and the Chipmunks and this CD brings back fond memories.

A very good purchase if you enjoyed the movie.
