4.0 out of 5 stars Stinks, but works
It's true, this tea really stinks in dry form. When you put it in boiling water, it stinks less. But, it really worked for me. Gives you a nice drowsy feeling before bed, good to calm nerves at the office. I keep mine wrapped in two plastic bags and stuffed in a drawer. Try it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Would you like a cup of 'fish' tea?
Bilberry....it sounded so...so....tasty. I am sure that this tea is good for your health and for that reason I give it the 3 stars. Unfortunately, it smells and tastes like fish which is something I just cannot tolerate. I tried it several times and just could not drink it. I have a close friend who is Asian and she likes it, but she eats a lot of fish sauce so I guess...

This totally helps me sleep. The taste and smell take some getting used to but that is possible. After all wine didn't taset good the first time I drank it but I like the way that makes me feel too. I now enjoy wine and Valerian Root Tea. If you have any trouble falling asleep I totally reccomend this product.

5.0 out of 5 stars delicious and healthful, January 18, 2011

I've bought this brand of tea before and all of them have been good quality. This bilberry tea has a mild, pleasant flavor...kind of like a mild blueberry flavor. Bilberry is known to be very good for the eyes, which is why I drink it...plus it is a good taste too. :)

This review is from: Alvita - Red Raspberry Leaf Caff Free, 24 bag (Health and Beauty)
You can compare it to unsweetened black tea, but palpable and soothing. It is one of nature's best blood purifiers in addition to being great for women anytime. It's great year round and for flu season, and you can ice it too. Sweeten it up with a bag of chamomile or red clover. Spearmint & peppermint tea compliment it well too -- or add value to that flavored stuff from the supermarket w/this.

You can drink this like water and I can't say enough about how good this tea is for well being, you'll probably instantly feel better.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great tea but busted bags, February 2, 2011

The parsley tea taste good and works well as a diuretic. The only problem was that at least 1/2 of the tea bags were busted.

Purchased to stuff in cat toy for calming effect. The cat was crazy over it, whereas catnip has no appeal. However, after 2 days I finally realized the cat toy was causing the horrid stench in my house.

4.0 out of 5 stars Delicious with cream!, April 9, 2006

Alvita provides tea of consistent goood quality. Rooibos is a wonderful tea that stands on its own as a tasty tea, or as a substitute for those of us who cannot have caffeine!! This tea brews up to a nice dark earthy flavor which I love to drink with cream!! Delicious!! I like it strong so I brew it with two bags for at least 20 minutes and then reheat.

In addition to the delicious flavor, rooibos has health benefits due to a high antioxidant level that some are saying is higher than green tea.

Bilberry....it sounded so...so....tasty. I am sure that this tea is good for your health and for that reason I give it the 3 stars. Unfortunately, it smells and tastes like fish which is something I just cannot tolerate. I tried it several times and just could not drink it. I have a close friend who is Asian and she likes it, but she eats a lot of fish sauce so I guess her tastebuds are adapted to that taste. Not mine. I would also say that I am not a finicky eater (I do eat fish), and I do tolorate a lot of tastes for the sake of eating healthy, including eating things on the bitter side - but 'fishy' is hard for me to swallow! So, for now, I will have to try something else. Anyone know what hawthorn berry tea taste like?

5.0 out of 5 stars Good herbal tea, December 28, 2010

My sister and I both have poor digestion. She has ulcerative colitis. For her, this is like a miracle drug. For me, it's just a nice tea and doesn't do anything special for me. I think it tastes very much like chamomile. I'd get it again, but now I won't be expecting any amazing curative powers.

3.0 out of 5 stars Valerian Root Tea - What about the smell?, April 3, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I bought this product because I read that it was a very effective sleep aid. While it does help me sleep better, I wasn't warned about the smell of it. This tea has a very strong earthy odor and everyone around me complains of the stink when I drink it. I personally have a very poor sense of smell so I can tolerate it. I think this should be part of the product description.
