Not so zatarish,
I ordered this thinking its the closest i can get to the one i am used to back home. But i was dissappointed, it wasn't salty enough nor did it have the right mix of herbs. So i started adding more salt, more semmac adn more sesame since i can't quite figure out the herb missing. I got used to it now and am using it to garnish pizza, pasta, as a paste with pitta bread, and to make pies. I'd recomend this as a last choice for a zaatar brand.

Our family really likes the taste of Zatar. This was the first time we'd used this particular brand. It's bitter and not very good. Wish I hadn't stocked up on this one!

Great taste! Excellent price. I've used up 3 bottles on my middle east lamb dishes so far. I ntend to buy it again and want to investigate what else they sell.

Dear Amazon:
Thank you for coming through, once again, with an outstanding product offering. For my class in Artisan Bread Baking, I scaled up a bulk-fermented formula for an authentic Jewish Challah Braid, and via a book also purchased on Amazon entitled "The Secret of Challah," realized the Lebanese spice blend of "Za'atar" in application to the "traditional" and egg-rich loaf. I received kudos for my contribution to our pot-luck dinner ... a "keeper"(!) Again, Amazon, thank you for your offerings(!!) Best always, Mark Loveland |
