Bought this necklace as a confirmation gift for a 14 yr old. It's a very nice piece of jewelry and it was perfect for the occasion. It has a "heavy" feel to it. It feels like a substantial piece of jewelry - not flimsy or cheap. The engraving on the back is easy to read. Also, as I recall, the piece is 1" high - it is a fairly large pendant. Seems a tiny bit pricey for the piece, but all things considered it was perfect for what I bought it for and have no regrets paying the price I did. There were a lot of "ooohs, and aaahs" when it was passed around for viewing.
