5.0 out of 5 stars Always and Forever, December 23, 2003
This review is from: Always & Forever (Audio CD)
This CD is a masterpiece. David has truly captured
every romantic aspect. I highly recommend every
CD that David Osborne has recorded. He is truly a
master of the keyboard. He has a style that can not
be matched by any other artist. He is a Steinway artist
and performs in Las Vegas nightly and has played for
many of the President of the United States.
He just returned from Washington after playing for
President Bush and his wife. He is the best I have
every heard. I own all 19 CD's and listen to them
everyday. I also recommend if you ever are in Las Vegas
to make sure to stop at the Cafe Lago and say
hello and catch him playing live. You will not be sorry.

This pianist for the presidents, praised by Jimmy Carter, is well worth your time. This CD is another favorite selection. My personal preference is to skip the first song "Laughter In the Rain". It's just not as beautiful a melody in my opinion as those that follow. And somehow the mood of that song isn't right either. It's too bouncy and "dinner and drinks at the piano bar" muzak-ish, though of course the rendition is fine. So if you want to set the romantic mood, skip it and move on to emotion and tranquility and smooth sailing the rest of the way! Note that "This Guy's In Love With You" does carry over some of the "piano bar" sound, but less obtrusively. If, however, you are contemplating buying one David Osborne CD, you may want to start with "Music of the Night" simply because the strings accompaniment is very subdued, and the entire album flows beautifully.
