This album oozes "indie", in my opinion... in a good way. It may not be as technically polished as a studio release, but the tradeoff is an album that makes you feel like you are sitting in a small venue and listening live along with a small audience in an intimate setting.

Tori Lee Averett has a voice that is just so rich and smooth as it glides seemingly effortlessly from note to note. Like a smooth ride on a rolling country road...

I find the content of this album to be mature, and intelligent overall... A successful, and healthy blending of elements from different genres (while maintaining an overall bluegrass-y/country vibe, in my opinion) is at play. As is lyrical content that touches on common human experience, but does so with a rich, almost conversational approach that is often thoughtful and intelligent (while still remaining accessible).

The end-result is an album that is accessible to a broad audience, while still maintaining its own personality and not playing down in order to appeal. Thoughtful and introspective.
