Book Description

"Always With You is the bittersweet and poignant love story of a woman trapped between temptation and the ties that bind."
~Tracey Garvis Graves, New York Times bestselling author of
On the Island and Covet.

"Hurst captivates from page one, and keeps you hooked until the very last word, in this entrancing story of the power of love and all its consequences.”
~Melissa Foster -New York Times & USA Today bestselling &
award-winning author

"Warm-hearted, wise, touchingly written, and exploring the depths of human emotions. This book about forbidden love is not to be missed."
~Bharti Kirchner, Author of five novels including Darjeeling and Tulip Season.

1977 is a glorious time to be alive in the beautiful wine country of Northern California, and Cathy has everything she thought she wanted - from a thriving health food café to loyal friends.

Since the devastating failure of her short-lived marriage, Cathy has buried herself in her work and kept men at arm’s length. But when an old high school friend, Pam, brings her family for a short stay, Cathy’s stone walls begin to crumble when she meets Jamie. Jamie, whose compassion and warmth slowly break down her defenses. Jamie, whose devotion to his four-year-old daughter melts Cathy's heart and makes her desperate for a family of her own. Jamie… who is married to Pam.

A profound love that transcends time and place is impossible to resist. But is love more important than friendship? Are loyalty and fidelity an anchor or a chain? In the end, it’s all about choices – tough ones that can break hearts. Now Cathy must make the most difficult choice of her life.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love that spans years February 17, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
I was able to read an Advanced Readers Copy of this book by Andrea Hurst. After reading "The Guestbook", I could not wait to read this next book of hers. She did not disappoint.
What happens when you meet a handsome stranger and sparks fly immediately? It is a brief encounter, but one that has you dreaming of this man for weeks. In an even more powerful twist you agree to allow your childhood friend and her family to come and stay with you while her husband interviews jobs, only to learn that this stranger you have been dreaming about is your childhood best friend's husband?
If you have ever known the joy and pain of loving someone who is unattainable, than you will not be disappointed in this book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Divine Epilogue March 20, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This was not a book I'd typically read. The subject matter, I'm not a fan of. But once I started it, I couldn't put it down. Yes, it dragged on a little long. But it definitely put me right back in the 70's, peasant blouses and all. I loved the setting, River Road being one of my favorite drives on earth. And I fell in love with Cat and Jamie and felt their heartache right along with them. I kept on reading, even when I was uncomfortable, because I had to know how this story was going to be resolved in a way I could live with. And it was. The epilogue was divine!

5.0 out of 5 stars You'll Love This Book! February 15, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
It's a forbidden relationship....and one that crosses moral boundaries. But with Andrea Hurst's storytelling, you can't help but root for "the other woman". This book takes you on an emotional roller coaster that examines all 3 sides of a difficult situation. Although I've read several books this month, this was the first one in a long while to totally captivate me. And I can't forget to mention Andrea's exquisite descriptions of food. Yum! She's a chef with her words and left me hungry enough to eat my Kindle! I highly recommend!

5.0 out of 5 stars Romance at its best! February 7, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
Beautiful story about friendship and lasting love. The story weaves in and out in different directions. You find yourself wanting one thing then another. The ending is unexpected. The story is great. A must read that I will read again and again!

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful love story February 15, 2014
By Ann E.
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I loved the debut novel by this author and was looking forward to reading her next book. I was not disappointed. It was a story I could not put down until I knew how it was going to end. It is a beautiful love story about choices that aren't always easy to make. Another good novel from this author.

2.0 out of 5 stars I'd give this a pass March 28, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Disappoint read from Andrea Hurst. I'd read The Guestbook which was a fine book and decided to read another by this author. Always with you was unimaginative with poor character development and an overwritten story line. The author kept repeating the same thing over and over and over. Jamie was such a sallow character.

I'd pass on this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Soulful romance April 15, 2014
By Katie
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is a soulful romance that makes you consider the value of true love. The author uses wise references to pop culture to settle you into the warmth of Northern California of the late seventies/early eighties, taking you to a place where love can be complicated, beautiful, and wonderful.
