Book Description

Sophie is young, beautiful, and runs her own magazine. She loves her life, her job, her friends… In fact, she has everything she wants. What she doesn't have, however, is the man she has been in love with for the past five years.

Michael once crushed her feelings. After all this time, she should have forgotten him, but she is still desperately in love with him.

The best way to get over someone is to see them again, or so they say. So when Sophie engineers a meeting with Michael, all she wants, is to be able to forget him, or so she tells herself.

But as soon as she sees him again, she realizes that she still wants him, and he seems delighted to see her again. Everything is going well, until he tells her that he is engaged, crushing her hopes again. Now she has to fall out of love with him, as difficult as that is, or give in to the temptation of loving him, even though he belongs to someone else.

5.0 out of 5 stars great piece of work October 25, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
A handsome man with great personality...
A beautiful lady with a strong character...
A sweet romance that made you smile as you read...

Sophie, a career woman, had not been able to get over her first love, Michael Ade-Cole for more than five years. They were separated five year ago all just because of a single word....Sorry. When the two of them finally met again, sparks flew but one of them is now engaged. Why did that 'Sorry' caused Sophie to break all contacts with Michael? Two obviously deeply in love people couldn't be together all because of a misunderstanding.

I loved how the relationship and deep feeling that they had for each other were so well brought out in the story. When everything pieced together at the end of the book, I was nodding my head, agreeing to everything that Michael and Sophie were saying to each other. I felt so sad that they had wasted five years apart just because of a small misunderstanding but this could also be what brought them stronger together when they finally understood each other.

I loved the epilogue that wrapped up the book nicely letting us know what happened to Folake and I can sense a sequel coming up on Ada and Eddie! I can't wait to read that one.

A small problem that I had with the book which could be just me is that I am living in a different country so there are some local words and saying that I couldn't understand in the book and some explanation was done more than once in the book which I think could be that the author had previously published this work on her blog by chapters so it was to help reader to recap after some time had passed. This could be resolved by some slight editing when this work is published as a book.

5.0 out of 5 stars It is the age old story writ well November 26, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
It is the old romance story I have come to know and love. Boy meets girl, boy leaves girl and girl wants boy back. This is just a great story written what I would think is a little bit personal experience and little bit great writing. I gladly give it five stars.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sweet and light romance December 21, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Sophie is hard working and runs her own magazine, Living Lagos. She's had one real heart break, something or rather someone who she has never really stopped loving, Michael Ade-Cole. She hasn't seen him in years. She couldn't bring herself to talk to him, not matter how much her tried to get in contact with her. All because of one little word, sorry. One little word read into the wrong way. Now Micheal is back in town, just has handsome but he's not alone.

Always Yours is a very sweet and light romance. But not too fluffy. It's a book about heart break, moving on but never really, and misunderstanding. Things could have been a lot different, if sorry wasn't said, if another word/sentenced was said instead. We would be reading a different book. Looking forward to see if there is squeal involving Ada and Eddie

I enjoyed the story, only real criticism I have would be the repeating of things. It didn't make the story any less enjoyable, but something I thought I would mention.

I was given my copy for review, thank you Somi Ekhasomhi.

4.0 out of 5 stars A lovely read July 19, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I enjoy romance novels which are initially based on friendship. From the very beginning of Sophie and Michael's encounter the reader feels the undercurrent flow of attraction between them. This attraction ends up exploding, eventually leading to the drama of the story.

A stubborn woman who is not able to express herself well when it comes to matters of the heart makes for a good romance novel, there is absolutely no doubt about that. I'll admit that Sophie had me wanting to shake her a few times as I read. When she admitted that she didn't understand her reasoning behind what one of her pivotal actions was, it made me feel better about her.

The story was written from Sophie's point of view so I felt that I didn't get to understand Michael and his motivations as much as I wanted to.

When I chose to read this novel I was looking for something light, short, and entertaining. I was not disappointed. The second book in the Lagos Romance Series, Hidden Currents, is ready for our reading pleasure and I'm looking forward to it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Keep Trying March 19, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This book was great to read. My interest was piqued not only by the characters, but by the culture and scenery of Lagos. The main character Sophie was very hesitant to get involved with Michael but he didn't give up. I enjoyed reading the story and even downloaded the samples of the next story in the series. The author really knows how to weave the storyline into a great read.

4.0 out of 5 stars Always Yours July 3, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Very good read. I purchased this book because it was a love story and the anticipation was how Sophie was going to get together with Michael with him not being available, yet not be the reason if Michael relationship didn't work caught my attention. Great love story. I enjoyed the fact that it also took place in Nigeria, it sort of took me away to another place to visit. I ended up reading Hidden Currents also because of the characters and how the author grabs your attention.
