Simply amazing...Simply entertaining...Simply ALYSSA...,

There are no words to describe the beauty of Alyssa Milano. She has a presence that just captures your heart. She is like an angel... on screen, on T.V., and even on a music CD. Her soft voice sounds so sweet, but at the same time it's also srong and full of compassion. She is simply amazing. Even though Alyssa is fantastic in this album, I had to give it four stars because of its style. Don't get me wrong I think it's fine, but it was put out in nineteen eighty-nine. And the music industry has really changed in ten years. But hey,...It's Alyssa Milano singing,...so if you're a fan of Alyssa's, or if you like late eighties soft rock, I would definitely purchase her first album. My favorite songs are, STEP BY STEP, DESTINY, BE MY BABY, WE NEED THE CHILDREN. Although they're all good. JAMES R. SPAIN

Alyssa Milano was a 16 year old child actress appearing on the TV show Who's the Boss? when this album was released. The album was released only in Japan. Apparently, she became popular in Japan due to her role as Arnold Schwarzenegger's daughter in the film Commando. As for the album, it sounds like typical late-'80s teen pop, and not even good teen pop. Let's just say that Debbie Gibson and Tiffany had nothing to worry about. The majority of the songs were written by Joey Carbone (whoever that is), sometimes with the help of others. Alyssa herself wrote the lyrics to "We Need the Children", which sound exactly like the kind of lyrics a typical 16 year old girl would write. None of the songs are any good, with the exception of "Be My Baby", which is a remake of the classic Ronnettes hit. Unfortunately, the song is ruined by including it in a medley with the terrible original song "Tell Me That You Love Me". This album has no artistic merit, and will only be or interest to Alyssa Milano fans who want to find out what her music sounds like.

So bad its good...,

OK, OK! This album may seem cheesy on first listening (and second!), but still give it a chance.
With its sugary sweet lyrics and pure eighties music it's a throwback to the days of perms and pinups named Corey. And lets face it: Alyssa can't sing, but you get used to her voice quite quickly, and you find yourself gaining a new respect of Alyssa for giving it her all. (She does a better job on albums "Do You See Me?", and "Locked In a Dream" in case you're wondering). Even if "Alyssa" fails to grow on you, it serves as a great pick-me-up: even beautiful, talented (in other areas) people can get it wrong too. now, don't you feel better?! Alyssa Milano, 80's idol in Japan.,

Cute 80's pop that sounds a bit dated. For big Alyssa fans only.

Upbeat happy early 90's sound,

I love this album. I would say this album has a early 90s sound to it (nu jack swing). Most of the songs are catchy, happy songs. Alyssa sings like a 80s valley girl, its too cute. Most of the synths in this album have inspired many japanese video game music composers (the bgm synths remind me of konami video game music) and idols like Tommy February (the brillant green's Tomoko Kawase).

I was curious about her music once I found out she had actually sang...This is awful! She has a pretty voice I will give her credit for that, but some of the lyrics sound rushed and not at all going with the beats and or time of music. I believe had she slowed down her singing and not rushed it on some songs, they might have sounded good.
BLAH! Don't buy this unless you are tone deaf!!!

I AM NOT A BIG FAN OF SOFTROCK, OR LOVE SONGS BUT I REALLY ENJOYED LISTENING TO THIS ALBUM AND PLAN ON PURCHING HER OTHER ALBUMS IN THE FUTURE. I THINK THAT SHE HAS A VERRY STRONG VOICE. I LIKED HER REMAKE OF BE MY BABY. I WISH SHE WOULD RELEASE HER ALBUMS IN THE STATES.

This is some of the most ridiculous music you'll ever hear. It's old. It's cheesy. It's complete crap. But then again it makes me laugh out loud all day. Got all the albums. Perfect medicine agains the worst of depressions. Just buy it from Japan, it's cheaper.
