About the Author
Bretten C. Gordeau is a memory impairment specialist who has worked directly with hundreds of Alzheimer's and memory impaired patients, families and caregivers in long term care and day care settings. He has provided educational programs on Alzheimer's disease practice to more than 400 clinicians. He has spent the past ten years working within neurology, neurosurgery research and publishing as well as being appointed to state advisory and county committees and advocating on a government level for those living with memory impairments within California. He holds seats on various boards of directors for neurodegenerative disorders. Mr. Gordeau is also a long distance caregiver for his father who is living with a neurodegenerative brain impairment and has had two other family members affected by a dementia. He attended Harvard and Cambridge Universities and completed his surgical science studies at the University of Miami Medical School Campus.
