Calling all dance fans and Billie Myers addicts, it's been a long time coming but here is the full length dance remix of the brand new Billie Myers track, "Am I here yet". Tracklisting: 1. Short edit mix -3:59/ 2. Marathon mix -9:43/ 3. Instrumental -4:01/ 4. You send me flying (radio mix) -3:49. The original mix, taken from the fantastic new CD "Vertigo", is an infectious rock track that is set on top of a sample from Hot Chocolate's "You sexy thing". An introspective tale of finding herself, the track is so positively rich with striking creativity and intriguing, intelligent lyrics that it is so obvious that Yes she is here and she might have a come a long way but there is no denying the talent, no stopping this powerful deep voice and no ignoring this song! For those of us who have been on our knees for dance remixes, Universal have finally come to their senses and released this fantastic Marathon mix by Junior Vasquez. Over almost ten minutes of clubbed out pleasure, Vasquez builds a solid dance journey with peaktime synths that call out under Billie's distinctive vocals, set Cher-style through a vocoder. The legendary beats stop for each verse and kick into gear for the uplifting chorus. The main vocal thread is wrapped up with playful, bouncy adlibs and echoed words that ride on and take us up to the closing rap and final chorus -and you will be dying to go through it all again when it suddenly ends! The song and the mix don't seem to be creating much impact on radio or in the clubs and Universal aren't pushing the project with much enthusiasm SO it's up to the fans to spread the good word and bring Billie the recognition and love she deserves. Dig this one out and be enthralled; then go get the CD "Vertigo" where there is a lot more, like this one, just waiting to be heard, enjoyed and (hopefully) remixed!!
