Product Description
From the mind of Will Dugan (and his alter-ego Blind Melon Ugly Dude) - it's rhyme time. Wildly weird nonsensical word-play about love, life and philosophy. You will read again and again, and read out loud, and love it!

This review is from: Am I A Poet? (Kindle Edition)
First things first, this is a short book --- it has 28 poems, most of which only span a couple of Kindle pages. I digested the whole thing in about 90 minutes' time. It was a well-spent 90 minutes, with a few hiccups of "Maybe I should be spending my time elsewhere...?" But with a few golden moments of being all smiles and occasionally laughing out loud.
The meat and potatoes of this book is wordplay. It's all about the way the words sound, and how they roll together and occasionally confuse you, but generally just impress you and often entertain you. If you like to hear well-put-together words, just for the sake of it --- not worried about what's being said so much --- this book will have much to offer. Content-wise, the book's, well, two steps shy of bankrupt. A majority of the poems are nonsense-poems, with maybe 7 or 8 composed on quite serious subjects, in which the author meditates on some honest heart stuff. The author seemed to want to teach in these poems, and sometimes he did, but sometimes his intention to teach obscured the content of what he wanted to teach a bit --- they came off as self-conscious. It's eminently forgivable, though, because the author's heart is big and he really does have some good questions to ask. I think the best word I could pick to describe this book is "Surprising." This book contains at least one entire poem which is a build-up to an enormous pun; one poem which contains an actual cooking recipe; and three poems about embarrassing bodily functions. If you can smile at stuff that surprises you, this book will warm your heart a little bit.
