Book Description

June 1, 2002
The I Am One tarot is a deck of cards based on the ancient school of tarot that was last used in Egypt during the late eighteenth dynasty. It is a traditional continuity of the ancient Egyptian and Hebrew schools and is a full 78 card deck. The Major Arcana cards have almost completely new titles, but those familiar with tarot will recognize similarities. Gorgeous artwork and informative text that appears right on the cards makes this deck easy to read and use. The text on the cards and in the booklet come in three languages, English, Spanish, and French.

This Deck is truly inspired. Try it! -- Psychic Reader; June, 2002

From the Back Cover

Based on early appearances of artistic works of Tarot cards in Europe, the mysterious origin of the Tarot has been vaguely dated by scholars somewhere around the mid-14th century. According to other experts, however, Egypt is the Tarot's motherland (the book of Thoth) and was a primary inspiration to most European mythologies.

· Tarot cards were certainly known in China before 1000 A.D. The cards then carried pictures from the domino game and from chess, and were produced in oblong and circular shapes of wood, ivory, plant fiber, or even metal. Card packs existed in India and in Persia early on, each with their individual features. And it was from the Far East that cards eventually reached the Middle East. From there they were taken, like so many other Oriental practices and traditions, by the Crusaders to the West, where, Europeanized, they soon caught on. It has been suggested that the Crusaders had concealed their arcane employment and had done so with very good reason. They had to avoid persecution by anti-occult authorities. Therefore they specially stressed the cards' entertainment value. Tarot cards, as they now exist, stem from fourteenth-century Italy. (An Italian Renaissance game was actually known as Tarrochini.) Other authorities discovered a Hittite root in the word. Tarrh in ancient Mesopotamia was the name of the mysterious "force" which controlled life. The tarot therefore was said to speak of the "powerful" one.

Nowadays, there is another source of information that points to the possibility of the Tarot being of the heritage of Atlantis. According to these researches, the survivors of the big flood had migrated from Atlantis to establish the settlements around the Mediterranean Sea, known as the Egypt and Greece. The geographic location of Atlantis is believed to be somewhere between Spain and England of today (in the area near Gibraltar and the Atlas Mountains of Morocco).

THE CONCEPT OF ONE

The I AM ONE Tarot relates to the Egyptian scenario only by the nature of its unique concept, for the artwork is not touched by any Egyptian style. Some studies of the Egyptian era have pointed out the possibility that the last body of Tarot work was kept hidden by an Atoned high priest named Maya at the very end of the 18th Dynasty. (See references in the "The Secret Places of The Lion" by George Hunt Williamson).

It was a time of upheaval when ATONE ("Atone" means "one") was almost completely destroyed by the priests of AMUN or AMEN ("Amun" in Hebrew means "many" and Amen means "faith").

ATONE

Atone was an Egyptian God who displayed a method of wisdom relating unto characteristic development of the most potent and genius individuals in society.

Atone's main offering to humankind was cosmic and creative knowledge structured in a set of twenty-two laws of Creation. This material was given only to chosen ones to be intensively studied under the guidance of highly skilled teachers and masters of the old school of magic. Among those students, only few mastered this form of education and were therefore entitled to have Atone's name attached to their birth (personal) names as a commission and recognition of being true royalty as directly related to being of the ONE CREATOR. This promotion of the potent was brought forward while considering the fact that ones who were found unable to comprehend delicate cosmic knowledge of Creation would eventually misguide the whole world into error (very much like the Atlantis episode),

Atonalism stated that the majority of people on Earth are of substandard capacity and therefore must never be given power over universal knowledge of creation (unless proven otherwise).

Hence, a set of social laws (the Ten Commandments) was created to match the mental, psychological, and physical survival needs of the majority of people, while letting the genius determine the destiny of the world.

*See Atone in relation to atonement theology. Reconciliation, or an instance of reconciliation between God and human beings is "atonement." The redemptive life and death of Jesus is "atonement." The reconciliation of God and human beings brought about by Jesus. The radical obedience and purification, exemplified in the life of Jesus, by which humanity finds oneness with God.

AMUN / AMEN

Amun / Amen is the opposing god to Atone, whose method of wisdom promoted a social hierarchy motivated by the survival of the majority first, whereby the majority would determine the destination and progress of manhood and not the individual genius. Royalty, then, was a title given to the controllers of the many, as measured by a powerful position and not by the qualities of the individual leader.

*Amen is the most widely known and frequently used of all religious words. Jews, Christians, and Moslems have made it a significant part of their worship. Marking their ends, it is like a seal, affirming what has been said or sung before, promised or threatened. The word Amen is found 13 times in the Hebrew Bible and strangely, occurs there first in the case of a jealous husband suspecting his wife of adultery. The New Testament mentions Amen 119 times. Whenever Jesus wished to emphasize the significance and solemnity of what He said, He prefaced His words with an Amen. Amen is a Hebrew word. Though commonly explained to mean "so be it," and hence to express simultaneously assent, agreement, and a supplication, it is derived from a root that signifies "truth." Therefore anyone saying Amen confirms all that has gone before in speech or song as being true, trustworthy, and reliable. But some think that even the Hebrew Bible is not the original source of this affirmation and that the Amen actually goes back to Amun, the name of an Egyptian deity of highest rank, indeed their "king of gods," who at one time was worshiped all through the Middle East. His name meant "the hidden one." Naturally both the Church and the Mosque, as children of Israel, continued the use of the Amen which, nevertheless, carries concealed, within itself the ancient Egyptian god.

Amen finally won the war over Atone (late 18th Dynasty), and since then Amen's concept of the many followers in power set the foundation for a new world that eventually led our human society to where it is today.

ATONE / AMEN

The Egyptian episode of Atone versus Amen seems to be the only place in written history that clearly displays the concept of one as identical to the I AM ONE Tarot. This particular event, in fact, is an important key to understanding the unfolding story of all Tarot decks, wherein the relation of the cards to the royal family reveals the inner structure of our society and its never-ending struggle.

All Tarot decks include the royal family (the court cards) in the Major Arcana and the lesser as well. Thus, a group containing several members of the royal family (as we know it) represents the power of Amen (the belief in power of the many) operating from within the leading head of society as well as from the people, the citizens themselves. Within the story of the Tarot, there is one individual card (the Fool in a conventional deck or The Nameless One in the I AM ONE Tarot) that is potentially all-inclusive of the other members. He is identified by the number 22=0. This one is a potential Atone and may become dangerous enough to destroy the whole family ((the social structure) if he can but achieve the knowledge, qualities, talents, and abilities of each and every one of them. The one that obtains all twenty-two paths of life can also void all of them, once having achieved a complete Zero of Self, which is mathematically shown as 2-2=0.

Such a task can potentially be accomplished by any one of us through many lifetimes of reincarnation and the chance to practice the self-mastery presented by the twenty-two cards of the Major Arcana.

In the event of a Nameless One (no one knows the identity of this one until the last chapter of the game, which is the "unveiling", see the last 4 master tarot cards) succeeding in putting the puzzle of life's qualities together within his own self-comprehension, he will be considered atone (a perfect human being). He or she will be given a name that functions as the word of one, a powerful universal code that once sounded in the Earth's atmosphere will automatically advance that One to the next level of experience while transforming our whole 3D world as well.

On the other hand, the rest of the royal family presented by The Actor, card #4 [2+2=4], is absolutely not interested in such a worldwide 4th dimensional transition and would do anything possible to interfere with the Nameless One's progress (and what he represents), even to a point where a complete destruction of all methods of individualism is considered O.K., including killing or damaging any supportive entity or group that is founded upon the old concept of ONE - to be of Atone.

The artwork in this Tarot Deck is just amazing. The Majors and each of the four suits of the Minors are in different colors. The cards of the Majors, four suits of the Minors and the Court cards do not have the usual designation. However, anyone who is familiar with Tarot will quickly relate these cards to those of the usual tarot decks. The deck is meant to aid in spiritual development, and it is in this capacity that the deck shows its strengths. I think that this deck would be perfect for individual meditation, but not so great for divination for others, although it can be used for divination purposes with ease. The "I am" statement at the bottem of each card helps with the understanding of each card. I wish that the LWB with the deck would not be so little, but give more info to aid us in the understanding of the cards. I found by accident a website for the deck, which does give such information. Too bad that the material contained in the website is not in print.

5.0 out of 5 stars For the Professional!/Visionaryprophetdaniel, September 29, 2007

This is a beautifully crafted deck as well as unique. Major Arcana are renamed in numerical order 1 through 21 plus 0"The Nameless One". The Minor Arcana are arranged differently:The Courts are 4 each as authority cards having dominion over the numbered pips to each suit with each its own color code.Blue Curved Blades/Swords;Red Two Headed Serpent/Wands;Green Pear of Tears/Cups;Yellow Stone of Age/Coins. Maya has created a special 22 card spread called "The Spiral" which is specifically for this deck. In my Professional Spread Book(under 2nd revision now-not available) I created a very complexed 11 card Kabbalah/Sephiroth Spread;Star of David Spread;Equal Armed Cross Spread in which layouts I use these Kits/decks:Tarot of the Sephiroth;72 Names of God;Tarot of the Golden Stairs by Tavaglioni; and now I add 4th to these: I Am One Tarot. However, let's not stop there! Let's add One more spread: The Spiral. Most professionals know the Tree of Life or the Kabbalah,Cabala,Qabala. Acquire this set for accurate readings...Shalom...Blessings
