I believe this to be one of the top albums of the the new decade. The 00's have been kind to many bands, but this one not even having a review yet. Come on people your missing out.

Albeit a one-shot deal for Jason Molina, Will Oldham and Alasdair Roberts, "Amalgamated Sons of Rest" is a beautiful and haunting tribute to whaling lore. The seven songs (one hidden at 16:00 on track six) are stories told by the men at sea and their women left behind.
