Among the many features are a massive tool steel plate with laser-cut expansion slots allowing the blade to expand and contract from heat preventing war page, Copper Plugs to reduce noise and vibration during operation, Extra large Proprietary carbide tips providing more re-sharpenings and longer blade life, tension rings to maintain the blades straightness under stress of operation and large gullets for greater chip clearance. Amana Tool's Prestige General Purpose Saw Blade PR1040 cuts smoother and stays sharper longer in both solid wood and man made materials. Featuring 40 Teeth alternating left and right (ATB grind) with a steep 20 DEG bevel angle for crisp clean cuts both across and with the grain. The 18 DEG hook angle yields an effortless feed. this blade does a real nice job, nice cross cuts in hardwoods, very clean, and squares good thanks to heavy plate,and probably good tensioning, the only issue was a couple carbids chiped alittle, no effect on performance, I would buy it again,,,

I did not purchase this item from Amazon. I bought mine for $51.95 delivered and it was well worth the money. While this blade does not cut as smooth an edge as the Forrest Woodworker II it cuts through hardwood with the greatest of ease. 4/4 hard maple was a breeze to cut and the feed rate was excellent. I would highly recommend this blade for general use and at half the price of the Forrest you will be very happy with it.

The blade works exceptional well. I purchased this blade to replace another brand named blade that had become dull and found it to cut better than the other blade ever did. The blade is exceptionally sharp and works well with both solid wood and plywood. I am very pleased with the design and the resulting cuts. I have used the blade to construct two cabinet projects at this point.
