5.0 out of 5 stars Best movie EVER
OK. My roommate and I have loved this movie ever since we saw it on Showtime Beyond. It's hilarious, but oddly touching. And Nicole Eggert is fabulous! However, it is DEFINATELY not worth paying $70 or even $30 for. I would love to have a "real" copy of this movie, but I would NEVER pay that much!

3.0 out of 5 stars Not bad, but not great either!
I rented this because two things seemed to go together; rated R, and Nicole Eggert was in it. Need I say more? :-)
However, this is no "Blown Away". The closest you see "the Egg" naked is when she strips down to briefly enter the shower to help the alien (who at that moment had control of a beautiful woman's body) wash herself, but you never see...

This movie is a bit campy but I have enjoyed in for years and was glad to be able to purchase a used copy of it. Its a shame but this one probably won't be out on DVD. I'd buy it.

This is a great movie: Fun/Fantasy at its best! A young San Francisco girl runs into an escaped Alien and helps it to save the world! It's funny, and Nicole Eggert is great. I recommend it!

I don't remember much else except the alien eating everyone and Amanda falling in love with the alien itself, rather then the body it takes over. However it is funny and is worth it for "Egg" fans.

4.0 out of 5 stars I think that my review is good., August 11, 1999

I recently saw Amanda and the Alien for the second time now, and I think that it is a very good movie. I'ts nice to see Michael Dorn, from Star Trek TNG in another role besides Worf. Anyway, I was hoping if someone could help me out. In the movie, the girl that the alien absorbed in the beginning, with the black hair and gorgeous figure. I was wondering if anyone knows her name, thanks.

Stumbled onto this movie. How camp..... how funny! If you have a "sick" sense of humor, like I do, (Sherman's Lagoon being my favorite comic strip) then it is definitely worth watching.

4.0 out of 5 stars Surprised--it was good., November 8, 1999

To be honest, I rented this movie just to see Michael Dorn without his makeup (WOW, by the way). I planned to fast-forward thru most of the movie, but ended up watching the whole movie (twice). It was pretty good. Worth a viewing to any Dorn or Eggert fan.
