Another winner!, May 4, 2009
This review is from: Amanda Noble, Special Agent (Paperback)
I couldn't wait to see what Lesa Boutin had in store for us with her second book in the Amanda Noble series. This series is alot of fun to read, I couldn't put it down! The ending had an interesting twist, leaving you wanting more.
Amanda is a great role model for teenage girls. Her character is easy to relate to as she manages to be both vulnerable and strong and gets herself into some funny predicaments.
I can't wait for the NEXT one!

How to Deal with Boys, Smugglers and Other Animals, April 1, 2009
This review is from: Amanda Noble, Special Agent (Paperback)
As the second book in this highly entertaining series starts, sixteen year old Amanda is joggling attending high school, helping her father run their zoo, and starring on a TV morning show where, as she puts it: "(Dad and I) make utter fools of ourselves while trying to educate central Florida in animal husbandry."
She is also dumping his handsome boyfriend because the magic is just not there anymore. Unfortunately the magic in relationships is not ruled by reason and soon she finds herself falling for the new guy in her grade, who she doesn't even like, when her father hires him to help at the zoo.
But Amanda's heart is not the only one at risk. Not long widowed, her father is now dating a sophisticated lady that Amanda feels is totally wrong for him, and, she suspects, may be introducing him to the illegal business of animal smuggling.
Appalled at the idea, Amanda spies on them with sometimes hilarious, sometimes dead serious results, bringing the reader willingly along.
Lesa Boutin wonderfully conveys the feelings and struggles of a teenage girl trying to do the right thing. Enchanting and easy to relate to, Amanda is a heroine you will fall in love with. I did.

Read it!, January 24, 2009
This review is from: Amanda Noble, Special Agent (Paperback)
Author Lesa Boutin mixes humor and danger to keep the pages turning in this second book in the Amanda Noble series. Amanda's dad has a beautiful new woman in his life, and it looks like she's leading him into the illegal animal trade. Amanda doesn't want to believe her animal-loving father could do such a thing, so she snoops around trying to get at the truth.
Amanda Noble, Special Agent is a fun read that's hard to put down. I couldn't stop reading it and stayed up late finishing it. It was definitely worth it!
