Slightly disturbing but highly enjoyable,

This comic doesn't feature the Escapist at all, but his Empire Comics stablemate, Mr. Machine Gun. He's in the tortured soul/PTSD genre of superheroes... and may (in this volume) be being depicted in the course of a transition from hero to villain. Despite the absence of the Escapist, I thought this was the most interesting and consistent of the Michael Chabon comics to date.
