CORNY TITLE, GREAT DISC!,
This review is from: Amazing Adventures of Simon Simon (Audio CD)
Of the few recordings by this duo, this is the one to have. A gem from ECM. A superb studio date from 81. Featuring Surman playing soprano and baritone sax, bass clarinet and synthesizer. And DeJohnette drums, congas and electric piano.
While 'Invisible Nature' is a fine live date, it certainly does not deserve the five star rating. If so, then this recording would be a 10. 10 stars!. And I may be exagerating a bit, but.... just a little bit. -james wood

5 stars!,
This review is from: Amazing Adventures of Simon Simon (Audio CD)
Actually 10* for "Nestor's Saga", absolutely fantastic-beautiful and haunting melody.
I insert the CD in the CD player , pick this track and press "Repeat" on the player and let it go... Only Pink Floyd's "Shine on you crazy diamond" and Michel Jarre's "Oxygene" had the same effect on me at 1st audition. The other melodies on the CD I like them less but I recommend it for the 1st track. If you'll look carefully you'll discover that you can download it only if you buy the whole CD-Amazon know why...

A Great Piece slowly falling into obscurity,

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Amazing Adventures Of Simon Simon (MP3 Download)
This is a great piece of music that is slowly getting lost into obscurity that Amazon.com has preserved. I have not been able to find it anywhere else for a reasonable price and so this download is not only the best way to get this masterwork but it may just be the only way to get it and get it you should. The sax lines are melodic and evoke the english countryside while carrying a powerful swing at the same time. Upbeat, charming and technically provocative this is a must have in a jazz collection.
