Book Description

April 1, 1998
With three million soldiers scattered along a 10,000-mile front and more than 1,000 engagements, the Civil War was one in which fascinating anecdotes, colorful stories, humorous tales, and unusual coincidences were frequent. This is written in a style similar to Garrison's best-selling Civil War Curiosities. Illustrated and indexed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Interesting and captivating!!!!!!!, June 4, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: The Amazing Civil War (Paperback)
I have three of Garrison's books: The Amazing Civil War, Civil War Curiosities, and More Civil War Curiosities. I would recommend each and every book to anyone! The facts that Garrison writes about are both interesting and captivating and being a high school American History teacher, I plan on using the facts that I have found no where else to captivate my students and give them a perspective on the war that they may have never found otherwise.

5.0 out of 5 stars A fun little book, July 3, 2002
This review is from: The Amazing Civil War (Paperback)
This book is a collection of strange and little-known facts about the American Civil War. Everything is covered in this nifty little book from discipline within the armies, famous descendents and ancestors, through graft and corruption, and battles fought in the nude! (Yes, ten whole pages of them!) This is a fun little book, a nice quick read for any student of the Civil War.
