Suzanne Leonard is a wife and mother of three young children. Her family follows a gluten free diet, and Suzanne has written a series of gluten free cookbooks to help other families do the same.

There have been many studies that have shown the health benefits of following a gluten free diet, including improved behavior in some children.

Suzanne works full time and pre-plans everything - from breakfast, to dinner, to her kids' school lunches - and it makes life a lot easier! When you have hundreds of gluten free recipe at your fingertips, you never have to stand in front of the fridge door, wondering, "What on earth can I eat?"

As I've mentioned when reviewing a gluten free recipe book I purchased and reviewed earlier this month, I was unaware of celiac disease and the associated dietary requirements.

This book doesn't go into any detail about the symptoms and causes, instead opting for a straight up book of easy to follow and delicious sounding simple recipes - just as the title states.

Unlike other books on appetisers, not all of these are simple three ingredient slap together snacks, but in the main are real, in-depth recipes. My favourites include Sweet Mustard Chicken Wings and Drunken Mushrooms!

One of the best features of these recipes is that they don't shout 'look at me, I 'm on a special diet!', so can be served to absolutely everyone at a party without the gluten free guest feeling awkward - nicely done Suzanne!

All I can say is WOW! After reading through this cookbook there are many recipes that I can hardly wait to try. I especially want to try the Sweet Mustard Chicken Wings and the Honey Ginger Shrimp. Those look awesome. I've had the Warm Seafood Dip and it is delicious. I certainly will make it again.

This book is well put together and has some really excellent recipes. It is simple and easy to read and the author appears to be well versed in the subject matter. It provides some unique but interesting recipes that I haven't seen anywhere else before but they are still made with everyday ingredients. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for great appetizer recipes, even if they don't have to follow a gluten-free diet.

My boyfriend can't do gluten so looks like I will be needing most of these recipes, only problem is that there are a lot of recipes that include dairy, and alot of people with gluten allergies (or ciliac disease) are also lactose intolerant. So additional substitutions or modifications will be needed. Also be careful of condiments and even some cheeses as some of them also contain gluten :(... additional reading of labels is required.

Great recipes for those who would love to get healthy and get rid of the gluten in their diet! I'm only sorry I didn't know about the bad effects of gluten on the body LONG before now! Since going gluten-free and lactose-free, I hardly notice my fibromyalgia at all any more. That, dear friends, is a GOOD THING.
