Amazing Grace DVD

This is, without a doubt, the best DVD that Bill Gaither has ever done.
For those of us who like the old gospel songs, this is a masterpiece.

The CD and DVD of Amazing Grace are just wonderful and very inspirational. The Issacs song "I Surrender All" is especially beautiful and touching. They are quickly becoming my favorite group. Bill Gaither just keeps putting out better collections of Christian music. We have most of them and this one goes right at the top of the list.

The last song by the Gathier Band is the most meaningful song ever written. It is to the music of Be Still My Soul.

The collection of songs and the singers is quite enjoyable. The album us typically Gaither in style and concept which add to the quality of their performances. I especially liked the words to the Finlandia Hymn. Audio mixing lacked in several ways. I recognize that this was a recording taken in an auditorium and not an acoustically proper studio but that took so much away from the album's value. Solo performances lacked quality found in carefully mixed audio. Those elements, however, while reducing my rating by one point did not diminish the overall album.

I like the hymns for my Christian Radio program and to listen to. It is very uplifting to me. Christian music is great.

I like listening to the various voices singing the old hymns. I was buying the Gaither DVDs and found myself wishing I had it on CD so I could listen in the car and at home. So now I mostly just get the CDs when they're available. Good music, inspirational stuff.

I could preview all the songs on the CD before buying and therefore had an opportunity to buy axactly what I wanted. I know previews do take alot of internet time and ideally would require to be not too long or short but maybe people should be given the choice if they want to listen to the whole track. It makes the product a little more worthwhile to buy. Still a good product I must say.

The songs were great, but the track was too slow, they sounded like the words were sung by tired people. Gave one as a gift also and the lady felt the same way. I have over 20 Gather CD's and this is the first I didn't really enjoy.
