First let me say I absolutely love this album in it's entirety! I bought this album because I am a big time fan of country music. And of strong faith. The Country and Gospel paths are very closely interwoven I believe, so this album was a must have. Besides Keith Urban's I'll Fly Away is better than any other versions I've ever heard. And I have a lot of Gospel/Christian albums as well. Keith has such a terrifc voice(his vocals really bring it home), it touches my heart and soul! (Thank you Keith!) I love the variety of songs on here. Something for everyone. Each country artist brings their own unique talents creating a new spin on these old songs. "I'll Fly Away", "Softly and Tenderly", It Is No Secret", "Leaning on His Everlasting Arms", Nothing But The Blood", and Victory In Jesus are my favorites. However, each and every song is well done. This is a very uplifting album. Be sure and buy more than one, this is one you'll definately want to share with your family and friends.

Keith Urban's simple & natural singing of I'LL Fly Away Is wonderful.
This was recorded live in a studio with all the other talented musician circled around to give it the warm feel it has.
I love this CD...

This is the first gospel album I have bought, and I am not going to break it down song by song, All I can say is that I get uplifted after listening to each song, as they are singing praise to the lord - I catch myself singing along praising his name as well. I could care less if they were all on key or off, performed it exactly like I hear it in church and make it there own. The music is all beautiful and uplifting. Thank you Sparrow Records

This album is not what I consider gospel music at all. Rather, it is many of my favorite old hymns sung country style, just the way I like it. I love this album and could listen to it for years.

Taking a look back at America's heritage is just what this new collection does as 12 of today's biggest Country and Christian music stars record their favorite hymns. These traditional hymns have great acoustic twists and contemporary beats. Especially check out I'll Fly Away" and "Nothing But The Blood" that speak of a deep-rooted faith and hope. Amazing Grace 3 is `amazingly' awesome!!

I'm not really a huge Country or Christian music fan but this record sold me...unbelievable toe-tapping sounds that got me humming along. This has got a vibe like nothing I've heard before. A must buy for anyone who even slightly likes Country or Christian music.
Sara Evans, Kieth Urban and Buddy Jewell are my favorite tracks!

I own the predecessors as well and it's my opinion that this CD is definitely better than Amazing Grace 2, but not quite as good as the original. Overall, there are several really great selections on this CD. It's definitely worth purchasing. Best of the best: Josh Turner (Softly and Tenderly), Sara Evans (Sweet By and By), Dierks Bentley (It is No Secret) & Joe Nichols (Just a Closer Walk with Thee). All of these artists sing with a real heart for the Lord and just do an all-out, awesome job on their contributions.
Also on this CD:
I'll Fly Away - Keith Urban
Pleasant, but very restrained. Although I'm Southern Baptist, I've always belonged to a church where this song is a hand-clapping, foot-stomping, arm-raising celebration of unbridled joy in the Lord. I much prefer Wynonna's version of "I'll Fly Away" on the Apostle CD. If your worship experience is more conservative, this version is probably fine for you.
Tis so Sweet to Trust in Jesus - Cyndi Thomson
A very nice job by Cyndi. Enjoyable to listen to.
Leaning on the Everlasting Arms - Buddy Jewel
A solid offering.
Nothing But the Blood - Steven Curtis Chapman & Mark Miller
Although Steven is a Contemporary Christian singer, he has had some country influence such as "Saddle up Your Horses, We Have a Trail to Blaze" and obviously feels at home here. A very nice job, but I prefer the version of this song included with Amazing Grace 2.
I Need Thee Every Hour - Jamie O'Neal
Pleasantly done.
Victory in Jesus - Trace Adkins
Pleasantly done - which makes it a bit disconcerting. I really like Trace Adkins, he's done some really great songs, but this isn't one of them. I got the impression this was just a song he sang for the CD and not that he's really experienced victory through the life giving blood of Jesus.
He Touched Me - The Isaacs
An old time favorite, this version is exactly the way you've heard it in church.
