Looks like this new author has the right stuff. Time for a new hero or excuse me, heroine to show up on the scene-move over Jack Ryan jr. , Mitch Rapp, Jack Reacher, Oliver Stone-Major Tammy Fuller is here. Hellvig's character development makes the reader feel the highs and lows Major Fuller experiences along her journey. The storyline and flow shows this author has the ability to keep the reader interested-you won't want to put this book down!!! This is a great read and I am waiting for the next book Mr. Hellvig. Thank you.

This story is a non-stop thriller that leaves a reader demanding a sequel. The story opens with Major Tammy Fuller of an Elite Special Forces unit being haunted by a mission. Tammy is unable to live with the collateral damage of her last mission. She considers suicide as her final release. As if by spiritual intervention, a crisis arises that takes Tammy's full attention. After the crisis is averted, those closest to Tammy realize the downward spiral her life had become and ler her know how important she is to them. Tammy comes to a cross roads in her life. How does she live with the guilt of the mission? Can she have redemption and if so how does she reach it? What is her purpose now?

Tammy becomes a pastor and leads an out reach program that helps build up a community through mutual respect, caring and self-defense. The community comes to love and appreciate the efforts and changes that Tammy has made within the community. However, there are some that would prefer to keep the community as it was. As Tammy continues to improve the community one person at a time, she goes head to head against gang members and their leaders, criminals and sociopaths that can leave the face of our nation changed forever.

There are many lessons to be learned from Tammy and her experiences within this novel but one of the most important lessons is the love of family and friends. It is through these bonds that Tammy realizes her true potential and finds her purpose in life.

I started this book and was unable to put it down. It is action packed and has unexpected twists and turns that you will not expect. The story is about Major Tammy Fuller who has deamons from her past and is working to right them. I found it especially interesting as I am a female and the book revolves around a strong and troubled woman and shows her vulnerable sides as well as her strengths.
Warning: Do not start this book if you do not have time to read it from cover to cover. You will not be able to put it down.
Thank You for the book and hope to see more in the future. I think I found a new favorite author.

I started this book on a weekend I had promised myself I would manage to find a little time to read, once I started it though I had trouble finding time to do anything else. The author pulls you in immediately with such illustrious words you can read this book and see it playing as a movie in your mind. Think you can determine what's coming next? Not here, full of believable twist you never see coming.

I highly recommend, "Amazing Grace". It is a wonderful, well balanced read. At first I thought it was a bit too mushy, but as I got into it and as the characters and plot developed, the tender moments balanced the excitement of the chase and the fights. All of this was woven into a plot that provided some wonderful twists and turns. It's been a long time since I've read a book in which I'd pause so many times and think, "Wow, I didn't see that coming".
Well done, Mr. Hellvig!! I can't wait for the next one.

This story chronicles the exploits of airborne special forces officer-turned inner-city pastor Major Tammy Fuller, or MT as she is called. The book opens with MT contemplating suicide. She is in the throes of remorse at the memory of a military action in which she had to kill a child in order to eradicate a terrorist. She is saved when another child—a six-year-old neighbor girl from across the hall— knocks on her door and pleads for her help in saving her grandmother, who has fallen down some stairs.
The child, whose name is Anna, brings a new mission of motherhood to MT, who also decides she will enter the ministry and help the disadvantaged. Her former team mates from the Army aid her on her unlikely journey through a New York City underworld of crime and homelessness.
All goes well for a while: MT is teaching many of her run-down neighborhood’s gang-hardened youth that there is a better path of honor, discipline and respect—through a military-style self-defense training course— when she runs afoul of crime boss Demonis Alumno, who wants her taken out. The villain’s reasons become all too clear as an all-out, no-holds-barred program of intimidation against MT and her pals is begun.
Kidnappings and missing nuclear weapons begin falling into the plot line as MT gamely tries to track down Alumno, who also happens to be a woman. Thus, we have two strong female characters pitted against each other in a fast-moving, unpredictable whirl of violence and espionage / police work.
I have to admit, I liked this story on many levels, despite the many cliché passages that included tears rolling down cheeks and about twelve instances of eye-rolling. This may be a personal problem on my part, but the action and highly detailed fight scenes gradually won me over.
