Amazing songs, but the British version., February 21, 2007
This review is from: Amazing Grace (Audio CD)
I was somewhat disappointed with this CD, mainly because I was desperately looking for the original version of Judy Collins' recording of the song Amazing Grace. This is not it. I had a copy of the original 45 RPM but have misplaced it. I now realize this recording was done in Britain. Her original was recorded much earlier, probably in the late 1970's. I plan to keep looking for the original recording--one of my all time favorites.

Lost 1985 CD reissued, January 29, 2005
This review is from: Amazing Grace (Audio CD)
This is the album Judy Collins recorded back in 1985 for a British release. Some of these songs ended up on Trust Your Heart a couple years later. I believe that is now out of print in America but those songs were issued on Sanity and Grace. For those looking to complete their Judy collection or for Fans of the Trust Your Heart album I would recomend this, it is a great price. And she does a good job with these familiar songs.

Judy's English Album, December 22, 2008
This review is from: Amazing Grace (Audio CD)
This is an album the Judy produced in England in 1985 after leaving Elektra Records. The album was done with a full orchestra; If you are looking for the original versions of Both Sides Now, Amazing Grace or Send in the Clowns, you may want to get Judy's "Forever" album instead, since the arrangements are differnt here. Some of these songs were release on "Trust your Heart," some on the second version of "Sanity and Grace," and others were released on "The Essential Judy Collins." Many/most of the songs on this album have a religious or spiritual theme. If you want Judy Collins singing inspirational songs with an orchestral background, this is a great album!
