I have always had a long time love for the sound of the bagpipes. This CD is an excellent variety of Scottish music. It covers the gammet from reverent and mournful to uplifting and lilting. Love it.

A MUST add to your collection if you're a fan of all things Scottish. A good mix of chosen songs..especially Amazing Grace and the recordings are clear and precise. They don't fade in and out like some other bagpipe Cd's. You won't be disappointed if you chose this CD.

I bought this CD as a gift for someone who loves bagpipes and the person just loved it!

Even I liked it, and my favorite kind of music tends to metal type.

All songs are great specially the last one.

If you are new to the pipes, this is a great introductory cd; covers the "popular" tunes.

As a piper I enjoyed this cd. It has most of the standard tunes played by bagpipers

Not a bad collection of songs, it's probably not for the real purist or traditional fan because of the accompaniment by other wind instruments.

It's too difficult to hear the embellishments of the pipers and the overall effect is a tad muffled.

Love bagpipes? You'll certainly enjoy this CD. My husband, who really doesn't care that much for bagpipes, enjoyed it. Some old favorites, plus a couple I wasn't familiar with; all well done.

Be forwarned this is a old recording which has been around in various

formates for a long time . The earliest I know was called "the Pipes and Drums of Scotland"

by the Gordon Higlanders. It's a good introduction to pipe band music as it goes. Several of the titles are wrong, mistakes made by someone not familiar with standard pipe tunes. For one example The Battle of the Somme is called the Battle of the Tyme.

I purchased the Amazing Grace: All Time Bagpipe Favorite as a gift. The gift recipient is thrilled with the music and rates this a #10 on his scale. Anyone interested in bagpipe music will definitely enjoy this classic.

This music CD, "Amazing Grace", contains a good selection of well-performed bagpipe favorites, including the classic "Amazing Grace", the rousing "Scotland the Brave", and the stalwart "Highland Laddie. Also included are two long medleys of traditional Highland airs, and several march themes, including the rather quirky "March of the Thistles" and more traditional "Regimental March". The audio quality is good to excellent. "Amazing Grace" is highly recommend to fans of traditional Scottish bagpipe music.
