This acapella rendition demonstrates a wonderful spirit for this gospel song, and some of the finest voice control I have heard in a long time. Ms. Rimes certainly has diversified abilities with her fine talent, and manages to make the listener believe she truly subscribes to the lyrics and message of her songs.

I first heard this as an accompaniment to a YouTube video tribute to the troops on a Memorial Day clip. It was sensational. I think about their sacrifice every time I play this exceptional version of an old hymn.

Stunning. I first heard this rendition a coworker's funeral, and there was not a dry eye in the house. This is the best version that I have heard recorded in years. LeAnn Rimes sings this completely unaccompanied and her voice shines.
