I typically buy the Amazing Grass Wheat Grass individual powder packets. I mix it with a cup of OJ in the morning and night. It tastes great and goes down fine. Its done wonders for my body. But this time it seemed different. It was gritty and the texture was almost like dirt. Usually, its great. Makes me feel awesome. My son and I both drink it everyday. He is 7 and he enjoys it also with Oj in the am. Maybe it was just older or less fresh. Not sure. But we still used it and still felt good. But id rather pay the extra for the individual packets that arent gritty. But all of the amazing grass products ive tried have all been wonderful. We love them all! Im gonna give the canister powder one more try and if a new one is still the same, we will just get the packets. No biggie. :)

I am really happy with this product. I first tried their super food powder and was pleased with it. After looking at the ingredients and nutritional benefits of both i decided that i would just go with the wheat grass. I have looked up what wheat grass is supposed to offer you. I do not know if i am convinced of all its wonders, that is besides the point. I mix one scoop full(scoop comes in container) with 16 oz of either flavored water or juice. It mixes pretty well but it takes a few shakes throughout the time i am drinking it. I enjoy the taste. I have made this an auto-ship i like it so much. If you are curious about wheat grass i would recommend buying this product.

UPDATE 09-26-2010:

So I have had this wheat grass everyday since this posting. After i eat breakfast and have my morning coffee, this is what i have to drink when i have made some room in my stomach. Well I do not want start of my mornings any other way. I am still not sure if it is the placebo effect or if this stuff is really the wonder grass it is made out to be but I do indeed feel better. I have grown to love the taste even more. I use it now with ocean spray drink packets. Usually blueberry lemonade or cranberry grape. It boils down to about 50 cents a scoop which for the vitamins you get and it being organic you can't go wrong. I am still going to keep this stuff a stable in my home. I hope you give this a try.

I love this stuff because it gives me incredible energy and feelings of health and strength. It is easy to take while at work and works well as a meal replacement. If you want a energy buzz, this product will give it to you.

As a regular consumer of Amazing Grass' Green Chocolate SuperFood drink powder, I decided to finally buy a large canister of the Wheat Grass after trying some sample packets. I had long been reluctant to try wheat grass (partially due to the stigma, I suppose), believing that it would have a horrible, straw- or dirt-like taste and not provide anything worth its consumption. Well, this belief was incorrect. The wheat grass (using a half-serving) offers a delicious, nutritious, alkalizing kick (and cool green color) to my morning hot cereal -- with slightly fruity/nutty taste that is actually delightful. I also find it provides excellent physical energy and mental clarity, especially on those days when one would otherwise expect to be overtired, sluggish, or fogged out. It seems to aid in satiety, too. Overall, I've found Amazing Grass to be "amazing" for its organic commitment and great-tasting, healthy, convenient products. Comes with a cute mini scooper. Ignore the scoffers and give this a fair shot yourself!

I started taking this stuff about a month ago, at the same time I decided to give up all caffeine. After feeling exhausted for the first couple of days while I was detoxing, I noticed a dramatic increase in my energy by the fourth day. I find myself having way more energy throughout the day and even at night. Millions of bucks are spent each year on coffee and energy drinks, which make you crash. Mix this stuff with your morning juice, along with a healthy diet, and you'll have plenty of energy to get you through the day.

I have three dogs. One is getting old and his blood test showed he is bit too acidic (my vet did not comment on it so it might be just fine). One of them loves to eat grasses.

So, I was looking for a green product with criteria below:

1. Satisfies her needs

2. Does not contain any form of sugar

3. Support immune system

4. Does not contain added multi-vitamins

I found Amazing Grass at local whole foods and tried a couple of packets. I mix this powder with yogurt. My dogs love this product!

For human consumption, Wheat grass takes a bit of getting used to. But if you are already familier with Wheat Grass Juice, and know what to expect (in terms of taste), you will like this product. It is very convenient and economical.

I decided to try this detox I found through Foodmatters. The detox says to drink water and wheatgrass together as recommended by the source; in this case "AMAZING GRASS ORGANICE WHEAT GRASS POWDER." So I only mixed it in water, not a smoothie or anything else that could diguise the taste.

The smell is not appetizing. Smells like wet dead grass-- surprise. Eventually I tried it after I got use to the smell and after diluting it---A LOT! It was sweeter than expected, but (surprise) it tastes like the "smell of wet fresh grass" if that makes sense. The serving size is a scoop, approx. a tablespoon, for 8-16oz (small bottle-regular bottle). It didn't seem to mix up very well. After 6 hours, there is still green specks of the powder in the cup... As I said I diluted 1/2 a tablespoon of the 16 oz mixture with additional 3 tablespoons of water.. and I am sipping at it to see if I can stomach the taste!

My suggestion, for anyone who wants to be healthy but doesn't really think they could enjoy something like this, is to mix it with just enough water to make it into a liquid consistantcy; throw it back and chase it with a glass of water. Trust me, you won't want to take your time drinking it. I've been staring at this liter water bottle half way full (16 oz) of this forest green mixture for 6 hours.

I took this stuff every morning for a month and noticed no difference in my energy level or well being. The powder does dissolve easily and tastes pretty neutral. I mixed it with my chocolate protein powder and it tasted fine.

Went back to the Green Superfood by the same manufacturer, which noticeably increases my energy and decreases hunger/ appetite.

Gives good energy and suppresses the appetite. The packets make it easy to take on the go.

This is excellent for morning shakes with banana and protein powder, yogurt and nuts to give you the right energy balance for the day.
