100% of pureness goodness,

this cd is so good i can listen to every song and dance to each. The pureness on this album is so guarnteed goodness. some people ask me if i like the insane clown posse and i'm like yeah and then i do a backbrige. then the their like if the insane clown posse say that htey would give me a high five. I listen to this album and I'm like this is hardcore, I wouldn't like to get in a fight with these guys because they would probarly kill my cat or something like that. the best song on the album is the stab song because they sound so mean and tough. I heard someone taking bad about the posse and i just said "man dont mess with the posse because they are totally insane". It's nice to see this hardcore rappers finally get some respect. I have to agree with Chris Sands that they do wear very cool hats but they wear even cooler pants.

I was never a big ICP fan after hearing silly songs like Redneck Hoe from Carnival of Carnage and The Neden Game from The Great Milenko. But something told me to go ahead and get this album and i'm very glad I did because there are some really good songs on here with a bit more artistic quality than I had seen from them before. The song I Want My Sh*t is like a narrative poem- very creative! And B*tches is like an anthem for guys and gals who are just plain fed up. And who can go wrong with cameo performances from Old Dirty Bastard and Snoop Dogg? The song Terrible is probably the only song in which they've actually attempted to put a out a MESSAGE about media hype and how it causes a distraction from true horror.
However, I was a tad annoyed by the skits that are on the same tracks as the songs- I think those should have been on seperate tracks because I didn't even find the skits funny. Then there are songs that i'd rather just skip over 'cause either they're too long, too monotone, or just too stupid. But this album has some really good songs on it that aren't to be overlooked. I'm glad I bought it. So if you ever buy an ICP album, it should be THIS one.

Fifth Part Of An Epic Saga,

Many Juggalos consider this one the best Joker's Card ever. I may not agree with them, but this album never gets old. I bought this album some years ago and I still listen to it very often. If you don't know who ICP are and probably heard some bad thing about them, just don't believe that... These guys make top quality horror music. And, as a good horror, lots of humor... You can have serious laughs while experiencing this album's freshness. Buy it now and witness the light of the amazing Jeckel brothers.

In the four styles of ICP music (Old Skool Rap,Horrorcore,Rap/Rock,and Almost All Rock) this falls into the Rap/Rock days of ICP, soon after the Great Milenko has been heard I was feeding for more of the true Wicked stuff, but this CD does not dissapoint, ICP feels they needed a change and this CD has brought it. Here is a Track Listing and my view on each song.Intro: A great way to start the CD basically this carnival room pops outta nowhere and leads a costumer into the action. Jake Jeckel: Jack throw another Jake catch one more...they'll try to catch all thats in store for you. Yes, Jake is the good guy in this. Bring It On: ICP always seems to hit each Jokers Card with a funky opening song, this song is if you enjoy crazy background beats and ICP screaming in the lyrics. I Want My S--t: Ah yes, this song is a fine example of Rap/Rock style, the rhyme itself is pure rap. But the courus is Rocking in the background, kinda catchy, you'll be singing this. B*tches: Throw ODB in the mix and you get cool rhyme that kicks it hard. Terrible: Rock is laced all over this, if you are a diehard fan of ICP you'll live with this. But the song makes alot of points about celebs and life itself. I Stab People: A Prequel to a song on Bizzar/Bizzar this is Violent J's first rap about stabbing. Oh the insanity. Another Love Song: ICP made this one a pure hit, its a soft smooth song and it really makes you juggalos wanna make this your song for your girlfriends. Everybody Rize: This song is underated, this coulda been another wicked hit to play on TV but fell short, its a great song, nice how it mixes in right after Another Love Song. Play With Me: In the eyes of Violent J the ignored toy in the box he vows to get revenge one day. Jack Jeckel: Similar to Jake the rest of the album gets more Wicked after this. F*ck The World: ICP says it all in this song 93 Times. Shaggy Show: Shaggys very own show, famous from thier website, this is the original song itself, pretty cool as Shaggs takes on a talk show form. Mad Professor: Voilent J the mad man biuld what appears to be Shaggy 2 Dope, Wicked lyrics and background too. Assassins: Hard Rap that is mad fresh, sounds alot like what most rap today. Echo Side: A dark song w/ ICP and Twiztid, basically Damian the soul finds his way to hell and back......to hell. Nothings Left: A song that may shed a tear, as the song says "On the day when the wagons come, I just pray that you let me on" Overall its a great buy, pick it up.

The Amazing Wicked Clownz,

I bought this CD just to see what are Eminem's toughest enemies were all about... And I wasn't disappointed. I ain't a juggalo (juggalos are Insane Clown Posse hardcore fans), but this CD is just fun enough for these four stars.. They aren't really worried with society problems like Eminem. They're just making fun of it all, cussing it all. My favorite tracks are: As you see, this isn't a real rap CD. It has lots of rock melodies too.. And it's not like the rap attitude (except for cussing everything), they just make fun of society, make funny voices and ridiculous dialogues.. This CD will just make you laugh, unlike nearly all raps CDs that make you think about what they're saying. Give these guys a chance because they are good...

The Amazing Jeckel Brothers,

The release of the Wicked 5th Joker's Card in June was ICP's answer to Hollywood Records dropping them when Milenko was released. It features tracks with Snoop Dogg and Ol' Dirty B*stard, and a skit from The Jerky Boys.
Intro-it's ok just some guy walking into a shop better then some of there intros 2/5 Jake Jeckel-not the best song the beat is nice but the song is short 2/5 Bring It On-nice beat but the lyrical content is not the best 3/5 I Want My Sh*t-One of my favorite songs on the album nice guitar and beat 5/5 B*tches- not my fav song really nasty but a good beat 4/5 Terrible-This is one of ICP's best songs talks about Kurt Cobain's suicide and Mike Jackson talks about up to date and not so up to date world events 5/5 I Stab People-I hate this song I always skip over it still stabbin is way better and longer 2/5 Another Love Song- Another great song one of there best and is really funny 5/5 Everybody Rize- Another great beat with great lyrics and I love the Korn diss 5/5 Play With Me- Think of it as toy box 2 or a chuckie kind of song really good im just not very fond of the beat 4/5 Jack Jeckel- The same as Jake Jeckel 2/5 F*ck The World- I dont really like this one but I like the beat Violent J is just about giving the finger to everyone 3/5 The Shaggy Show- A-lot of juggalos hate this song but I love it the skits are so funny and the beat is nice 5/5 Mad Professor- Violent J chopping up people to create another human(monster) witch is Shaggy 2 Dope funny skits nice chorus 5/5 Assassins- I love the gun shot sound that goes on during the chorus the song is great 5/5 Echoside- I hate this song im not very fond of it yet 2/5 Nothing's Left-A-lot of juggalos say that the last song on all the jokers cards are great and i agree with that this is a really good song with a good meaning 5/5 as you can see there is a-lot of fives witch is good but this is just one juggalos opinion you might think the opposite of what I think. It's pretty difficult for me to believe that something as unspeakably unintelligent and doggerel as this could sustain even a small fan-base. Especially in the face of the perennial monotonous "phat beat" rap banality. Which is sadly and uniformly exhibited here by these vacuous sub-primates. The "dope rhymes" here are repugnant, and the only conceivable reason I can think of that would provoke some really sick people to buy this un-avant-garde dreck. To make a long story short: ICP predictably reiterate the old (really, really old) palpatating "thud," and amalgamate it with accelerated profanity. Total dreck.

Some of you "reviewers" are so clueless it's unbelievable,

Now, before I review this (awesome) cd, I have to get a few things off of my chest. I am so sick and tired of these damn stereotypes about ICP fans. You say that anyone who likes ICP is dumb. I happen to be a very smart person, smarter than all my friends. And guess what: All my friends hate ICP with a passion! Then you say that people only listen to ICP because they cuss and it makes them seem rebelious. This is complete and utter bullsh*t. I listen to everything from Christian Rock to Ska to Alternative Rock. I couldn't give two sh*ts about being rebelious. And finally, you say that all ICP does is swear. This is ignorrant and false. If you would go further than listening to the first two tracks, you'd realize that ICP is trying to send a message to the world. They want you to know that they don't care what you think about them. So keep writing your poor excuses for "reviews". Now, onto the CD.The 5th Joker's Card is finally here, in the shape of the Jeckel Brothers. They Juggle your sins in the form of balls. Be warned: if a ball is dropped, you are banished to hell for eternity. However, if you are clear of sins, they will complete their act, and you will be rewarded with an eternity in Shangri-La (heaven). This is the premise of the whole album. It certainly takes some mighty creative minds to come up with this stuff. The songs on this album are quite different than anything ICP has done in previous works. They talk more about government issues, stuck up celebrities, and racism. However, you've still got your token Murder Raps (I Stab People, Another Love Song, Assasins), your devil tale (Echo Side), and your humorous Carnival raps (Bring it On, I Want My Sh*t). The music on this CD is more rock/guitar-driven than the other "Joker's Cards" which is awesome, because I enjoy rock more than rap anyway. I found this CD to be an amazing effort by ICP, and it's seen much more time in my CD Player than most of my collection. Final note to you one-star reviewers: Quit trying to force your opinions on everyone else. Just because someone likes different music than you doesn't make them stupid. They just have different musical tastes than you. Peace out, much Clown luv.

Jack and Jake Jeckel rest in all of us, for they are the very fabric of our conscious being.,
By John "Ira" (New Jersey) - See all my reviews

His evil influence flows from the city streets like red molten ooze, filling every alley and gutter. There are those who are burnt by it, like the charred remains of a napalm strike. He moves in silence, yet with his heat comes ear-shattering screams as the masses are scorched in his choking smoke of corruption. His fire consumes like a lethal injection flowing through the veins of a dying convict. Hosts of small red ants crawl in the wake of his presence, biting and stinging flesh. His holocaust fills the woods of hope and prosperity like a wave of hungry piranhas on a newborn lamb. He goes by many names, but for now let it be spoken like the force of a fireball bursting into a crowd. He's Jack, pure and simple... Jack Jeckel.
His glow of compassion kindles the heart, like a campfire on a cold winter's eve. His embers burn eternally, spreading the flame of mercy like a warm blanket over the shoulders of a vagabond. His kindness is fueled by sympathy for human suffering, but his inferno of righteous cause, incinerates creatures of sin to ash. The torch of his salvation guides wanderers in the dark abyss to freedom. Its flaring sparks float on the winds of change, like soaring birds recently freed from a dreary cage. Laughter explodes forth from the essence of his being, radiating the land with childish joy. He has many names, but for now let it be spoken like melodic music drifting through the air. He's Jake, true indeed... Jake Jeckel. Emerging from the Dark Carnival like phantom smoke drifting into the minds of men, they are the Amazing Jeckel Brothers. A chaotic duo of juggling masters, Jack "the sinister" and Jake "the just" juggle the sins of mortal men. The price of admission to their show is a mere human soul. When death creeps around and life decays, the departed spirit will begin its journey. A vision of a candle will begin to form like a distant dream with billowing smoke rising from its eternal flame. In this thick haze the deceased will begin to see an image of Jake and Jack Jeckel juggling red balls between themselves. Each ball soaked in fresh blood and pulsating like an erratic living heart. For every sin committed in a mortal's life another ball is added to their unearthly performance and the harder it becomes. The deceased will witness sinister Jack throwing Jake curves in a vile attempt to see a ball drop. For if they should fumble in their act, a pit of infinite evil shall open beneath the feet of the viewer and cast the soul into an eternity of pain and suffering. Success on the other hand, opens the gates of Shangri-La and grants one ascension into pure enlightenment and peace. Jack and Jake Jeckel rest in all of us for they are the very fabric of our being conscience and soul. There is no escape from their Juggling act because there is no way to escape from ourselves. Only in death will we realize this as we twist and spin to the other side. This is definetly in my top 3 Joker's cards of all time. It was also the first ICP album that I fell in love with, when I bought it back in 1999. This is their most notorious release, due to the media hype/controversy that appeared during the Great Milenko era the previous two years. Appearences on this album, are Twiztd, Snoop Dogg and ODB, Ice T also appeared on a song that was supposed to appear on this album, however they left it off. ICP wished to be taken more seriously in this era, hence the more "famous" rap appearences. Intro - ?/? Every Jokers card has a great intro, it all started with a lamp... Jake Jeckel 5/5 Almost, like an intro for Jake, even though it is odd for an album to have two intros in a row, I like this alot though. "Jack throw another one Jake catch one more, they'll try to catch all that's in store for you...How many souls will fall from the sky? How many souls burn wondering why?" Bring It On 5/5 Every ICP album has one of these, an opening gull length song which is pretty much a middle finger to all not down. I want My S*it 5/5 Not the most charming name, maybe childish and blunt. A story done by Violent J about a man who just can't seem to die, unless he gets what he wants. B*tches - 5/5 Featuring the one and only ODB from the Wu-Tang Clan!!! The song wasn't even called B*tches, but odb butchered the song so bad, icp was forced to change the name and their own verses all because of his screw up. They turned something horrid into something great. Terrible - 5/5 A rock type song here,an angry one at that, J and Shaggy blow steam off at the media and society. I Stab people 3.5/5 Not even a full song, Good for what it is though, pretty funny. Godda love the humorous flow J uses here. Another Love Song - 4.5/5 A laid back type song...well for ICP standards not the mainstream standard. Single for the album. The things they do for their women, eh? Everybody Rize - 10/5 An "anthem" so to speak, or for icp's standards. One of the best here, a strong beat. Play With Me - 5/5 Another story from Violent J, except this time, he plays the part of an action figure long forgotten by it's owner, until one night it seeks revenge.... Jack Jeckel - 5/5 Part two, pretty much the same thing as Jake Jeckel except this one is done by Shaggy 2 Dope. Fu*k the World - 15/5 Classic icp track, Pretty much their ode to not giving a damn to what anybody thinks. The Shaggy Show - 4/5 Shaggy has the spotlight here, funny song. Snoops is weak, hence why it's 4 and not 5. He even promotes his new album here, how stale is that? Shaggy works wonders here though. Mad Professor - 5/5 Violent J is a nut job trying to make a friend, and Shaggy 2 Dope is his loyal creation. A great mix for a horrorcore rap song. Assassians - 10/5 One of the best songs here, again more rock fueled. a Ghetto Boys cover song, with icp flavor added. Echo Side - 5/5 The final two songs are pretty deep, this song features Twiztid and was meant to be a Dark Lotus song. Revolving around Damien and his trip through hell. Nothing's Left - 10/5 A song, about how everything has been done before and nothing is new. The usual heart felt closing song Insane Clown Posse is known for. So, to end this. This is one of their best. Mixing horror with humor and their beliefs fans have come to love. I recommend this for all icp fans. P.S. El Lagarto, since when would icp fans take the opinion of a f*cking Devo fan seriously!? Yeah, point proven. |
