Ours is a one-gallon, oval-shaped, draw-string bag made, in the USA, of sturdy nylon so you can use it over and over again to make your own nut milk, juice, or sprouts. This works better than cheesecloth because it does not let pulp through and does not stretch out in the same way that organic materials do.
Imagine never having to buy a non-recyclable boxed "milk" again. Instead, make your own RAW "milk" of any nut or seed you like! Why buy plastic packages of expensive sprouts when you can sprout your own seeds, grains, and legumes? If you don't feel like cleaning up after your juicer, or just don't have a juicer, then you can use a blender and strain the pulp through this Amazing Bag as well!

I bought this because I was tired of paying for Rice Dream rice milk for my daughter. So, in order to accomplish our Rice Milk experiment, I used some of the key ingredients all of which I ordered through Amazon: organic wild rice (Lundberg Wild Blend, Gourmet Blend of Wild and Whole Grain Brown Rice, 16-Ounce Bags (Pack of 6)), coconut oil (Nutiva Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, 15-Ounce Tubs (Pack of 2)), and Maple Syrup (2x Coombs Family Farms 100% Pure Organic Maple Syrup Grade B, 32 Ounce Jug).
My daughter and I cooked 1 cup of the rice with 1 teaspoon of natural sea salt in 1 quart of water for 2 and half hours. I used a hand (Stick) blender to thoroughly breakdown the rice and then strained it through this NUT-MILK BAG. We then added 2 quarts of water to the liquid strained from the rice. We added 2 tablespoons of Coconut oil, 1/4C of Maple syrup, and blended again with the stick blender. Wow! This is much more tasty than Rice Dream Rice Milk and cost less that one tenth! I am sure that I recouped the cost of this Nut-Milk Bag in the first wonderful batch of home-made organic Rice Milk!

This nut milk bag provides an good solution for filtering seed and nut milks. It's fine nylon mesh does excellent filtering. It doesn't absorb and retain moisture, so it dries easily. The bottom mesh is easily flushed out, but the seam area around the drawstring is difficult to flush. The tappered shape is a more efficient design. It works best squeezing into a large bowl. It's well constructed out of tough nylon, but resonable restraint needs to be used.

This is a super nice bag for milking nuts. I received the bag very quickly and have been very happy using it for the past few weeks. My only issue is that the seams on the bag could be finished so as to make it easier to clean. Nut meal works it's way under the excess material around seams and it takes a little extra effort to clean ... but really it's very small complaint. Overall I am very pleased.
