Product Description

This is the original *AMAZING* NUT MILK BAG! In Increments of 100 bags for 4.25 each Ours is a one-gallon, oval-shaped, draw-string bag made, in the USA, of sturdy nylon so you can use it over and over again to make your own nut milk, juice, or sprouts. This works better than cheesecloth because it does not let pulp through and does not stretch out in the same way that organic materials do. Imagine never having to buy a non-recyclable boxed "milk" again. Instead, make your own RAW "milk" of any nut or seed you like! Why buy plastic packages of expensive sprouts when you can sprout your own seeds, grains, and legumes? If you don't feel like cleaning up after your juicer, or just don't have a juicer, then you can use a blender and strain the pulp through this Amazing Bag as well! A few recipes and instructions for use are included. Try it and you will be delighted!

If I didn't already own 2, I'd definitely buy another one so I'd have a backup!

I bought this because I was tired of paying for Rice Dream rice milk for my daughter. So, in order to accomplish our Rice Milk experiment, I used some of the key ingredients all of which I ordered through Amazon: organic wild rice (Lundberg Wild Blend, Gourmet Blend of Wild and Whole Grain Brown Rice, 16-Ounce Bags (Pack of 6)), coconut oil (Nutiva Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, 15-Ounce Tubs (Pack of 2)), and Maple Syrup (2x Coombs Family Farms 100% Pure Organic Maple Syrup Grade B, 32 Ounce Jug).

My daughter and I cooked 1 cup of the rice with 1 teaspoon of natural sea salt in 1 quart of water for 2 and half hours. I used a hand (Stick) blender to thoroughly breakdown the rice and then strained it through this NUT-MILK BAG. We then added 2 quarts of water to the liquid strained from the rice. We added 2 tablespoons of Coconut oil, 1/4C of Maple syrup, and blended again with the stick blender.

Wow! This is much more tasty than Rice Dream Rice Milk and cost less that one tenth! I am sure that I recouped the cost of this Nut-Milk Bag in the first wonderful batch of home-made organic Rice Milk!

let's face it - the name alone is enough to incur derision for years to come. However, the product itself is simply amazing! I bought 2 of these - one for making nut-based milks like almond and hazelnut, and another for making fruit/vegetable juices for my juice fast (in which I lost 9 lbs in 6 days, but that's a different story altogether. I don't have a juicer at home, and I tried filtering the pulp using cheesecloth which was both aggravating and time consuming! Now, I just pour the juice mixture right from my blender into the bag and I pull the drawstring tight and hang it from the knob of my cabinet over the bowl. I then proceed to wash the peelers, knives, boards, and blender. Once I'm done, about 70% of the liquid has filtered out of the bag into the bowl, and a simple massage gets out the rest (similar to how one massages a cow's teat to extrude its milk).

The bag's cleanup couldn't be much simpler - a tiny dot of detergent on the bag itself and about 20-30 seconds to thoroughly clean it, then rinse, shake as much of the excess water out of the mesh, and I hang it over the upended blender canister to dry the rest of the way. Then it folds up nice and neat in with the bowl, peeler, and apple corer I use for all my juices!

If I didn't already own 2, I'd definitely buy another one so I'd have a backup!

I was looking for a product to use for the preparation of coconut and almond milk. This bag is perfect. Super easy to clean and it dries quickly. I use the bag inside out, to prevent the nut meats from getting under the cord seam.

The grainy bits of pulp come right through this fabric so the milk must be strained again. After using this bag a couple times a week since June, it has a hole. I wouldn't buy this again.

I purchased this bag hoping it would work better than my fabric nut bag, but it leaves the milk very grainy so I now use this bag first to get the bulk of the pulp, and then filter again through my fabric nut bag. That actually works pretty well!

As the tag advises, do take care not to squeeze this as if it's made of steel, because it's not. It's nylon.

And in response to some mild criticism that the seam is especially hard to clean out, chunkier matter such as nut pulp can be avoided in great part by turning the bag inside out -- which honestly seems to be the way this was designed, because the draw string is a less comfortable "innie" when right-side-out versus the more convenient "outie" you'd expect on a drawstring bag.

This is a super nice bag for milking nuts. I received the bag very quickly and have been very happy using it for the past few weeks. My only issue is that the seams on the bag could be finished so as to make it easier to clean. Nut meal works it's way under the excess material around seams and it takes a little extra effort to clean ... but really it's very small complaint. Overall I am very pleased.

I bought 2 bags for making almond milk. Both burst within 2-3 uses. Very disappointing!!!
