I only weigh 185 lb it is supposed to support 250 lb.

I noticed that if you're crooked on it, the legs will feel weird under you because they're not even on the ground.

You'll love this chair if...

- You are under 200 lbs.
It says it holds up to 250 lbs, but the area of support for your bum is pretty small and you could get uncomfortable quickly. I'm 145-150 lbs and my boyfriend is 160 lbs.

- You are under 6' tall.
It's pretty low to the ground, so if you have longer legs anything this low could get uncomfortable quickly. I'm 5' tall and my boyfriend is 5'8.5" tall and we both use our chairs.

- You know how to latch it properly.
We have two of these chairs. One latches PERFECTLY without much strength. The second one had the latch turned around funny when we took it out of the box. All I did was flip the stool and realize it was placed in the box wrong. The latch was also a little harder, so you have to use more strength to get the peg in the hole. But still, they both worked fine.

- You sit on it properly.
Don't sit on it crooked so your weight isn't properly distributed and don' lean forward or backward without additional support or you can topple over like any other stool. It's common sense! I noticed that if you're crooked on it, the legs will feel weird under you because they're not even on the ground.

- You don't expect a stellar product for an "as seen on tv" product that only costs about $6.00.
Seriously, they work very well but you shouldn't expect THAT much from an informercial product. You always get what you pay for. The material isn't top of the line but it lasts. We've had our 2 chairs for over a year now.

I received two of the "amazing pocket chairs" due to a promotion (Buy one get another free). Neither chair works. The safety locks don't reach because the straps are too tight. Apparently, the safety locks are installed wrong, if the instruction sheet picture is correct. I cannot use either chair. The idea is good and the company lists Patent pending. It will be pending for a long time!

I'd go with the "Camouflage Folding Camp Stool" by Rothco. This thing is of poorer quality than the Rothco (less than advertised, certainly). The Rothco has 11 reviews of 4.5 stars. I'll skip the "As Seen on TV" label this time.

I'm very outdoorsy but can't stand up for too long because of a back injury, so I was very excited to see these on TV. They look really great! But they're not. The real thing is so poorly designed as to be worthless. I'm not a big woman, most people would call me slender to average, but the seat on this thing is not wide enough to sit on without the metal bars cutting into my thighs, very painfully. You definitely wouldn't want to sit on it for more than maybe 2 minutes. It's also very very hard to set up. The little stud that fits into the metal bar is pretty far away and it takes quite a few very vigorous attempts to get it engaged. I'm a farm girl, so my hands & arms are strong, but I think many women would not be able to do it. I assume the nylon straps will loosen over time and fix this problem but the seat is so uncomfortable that it's not worth putting the time in to stretch them. It's also at an awkward height when set up. I'm perfectly comfortable squatting on a rock or log or hunkering down, but this (for me) is either too low or too high to be comfortable - it hurts my back. I've never had that problem sitting on a log. I think part of the problem is balance, because this chair is rather wobbly so you have to use your back and stomach muscles to keep it from falling over. It also does not fit in a pocket (for pocket sized it's huge - 10" x 7" x 1") and it's heavy (the weight would likely rip a pocket). I have a fold up tri-legged stool that is much lighter weight, easier to set up, and is comfortable to sit on. The only reason I wanted to try this is because I thought it would fit in my pocket. Anyway, save your money. I was very disappointed. The little tri-stool I like is similar to this one: Black Collapsible Stool

I'm a photographer and this chair is exactly what I've been looking for. Lightweight and small enough to put in my camera bag. When I shoot events and I have to be in front of seated guests, I hate standing up and blocking peoples view, so I often end up taking a knee. This has caused me much pain over the years. This chair allows me to take a low seat so as not to block peoples view, and saves my knees. Would I want to sit in it for any length of time? Hell no, but for a quick break it works great. I'm over 250lbs, 6'2" and my fat ass fits on it fine. Again, it's no Lazyboy, but for the price and conveniece it works great!

I bought 2 of these and couldn't wait for it to arrive. After taking one out of the package and unfolding it, I thought maybe it was defective. The "security lock" tabs are several inches apart. I opened up the other one to see if that one worked. Unfortunately, they were identical. Using all my strength, I managed to get the 2 sides together to lock it. I needed another person to actually hook the 2 sides together.

I give it 2 stars because once I actually have the chair set up, it works as a little chair, although somewhat wobbly. It's also heavier than I thought it'd be. Another thing, whoever designed this has gigantic pockets.

I'm happy I only paid $5.95 each for these.

Update: I left the chairs setup for a day or two. The straps are stretched out enough and the tabs can hook together more easily. If you do choose to buy one, the first time you set it up will take a lot of strength. Just leave it together for a couple of days and it'll be fine. I still don't think it should have 5 stars because it's heavy.
