Despite the title, this is not really a guide to Pokemon characters. My son is five and loves Pokemon cartoons (is it OK to call them cartoons?). He does not have any Pokemon video games. This book provides some details on 60 characters. Details include height and weight, power, and little known fact. There is a two page layout with the names of all 380 Pokemon characters with no additional information. So, if you want info. on all Pokemon characters this is not the book. The remainder of the book includes mazes and other games. Paper is of fairly cheap quality; cover is more durable. I am sure my son will love this book since it is about Pokemon and has some games. He is five years old. I would not buy this book for someone more than seven years old. Apparently, you need a more expensive book to have better information on all the Pokemon characters.

Really nice detail and pictures in this guide. Easy to understand, and recommend it for younger gamers. My 8yr old was able to easily read it, but got over it quickly. Contains great amount of *Pokemon, and a great basic or beginners guide.

I was hesitant to buy it because of some reviews. Yes, the activities are a little easy and yes the book is very thin, however, for an airplane ride or nice restaurant visit, it was simply fantastic. My kids love Pokemon and would love any product really, but even though the book is filled up, they use it to learn how to draw still so it definitely wasnt a waste....on the contrary.

I ordered this book as a gift for my nephew. I really had no idea what I was ordering, but he was very happy with it and I was happy with the condition and the price was great also. Would highly recommend.

I needed $3 to get free shipping so I bought this. I'd have been playing Diamond a good bit so I was all like "yay pokemans!" so I bought this. Your kids might like it even though its not the most updated one (god I'm a nerd)

Bought the Pokemon Guide Book for my Grandson's 8 year birthday. He loved it. The book is a nice size for a child. It is colorful. It is at a child's reading level and has quite a lot of information on the Pokemon cards. Grandma is learning quite a bit about the Pokemon characters.

Fun book for pokemon beginners. They need a second edition for the newer pokemons. Both my son and I love this. I even started face painting pokemon :)

If your child loves Pokemon they will love this book. Very useful to read information on or see pictures of Pokemon.

A good book for children just starting on Pokemon. My daughter loves it.
