This is not a book with "pages" but is a hard covered poster. Unless you intend to mount it on your wall (the hard cover comes with nail holes) you may find that it is awkward to handle. The problem with this book is in it's design not its content which is clear and engaging.

Children are curious and they want answers about their bodies. When they start asking questions about what happens to the food they eat you will know it is time to buy them this book. The book has two punch holes in the top which can be used to hang this book up on the wall. This book can be opened and unfolded by a child and does have that potential for use while the child is seated on the floor.

I recommend helping a child hang this in their room, but don't leave it up at night. It could be quite scary to see a skeleton hanging on the wall in the middle of the night!

Children will enjoy learning about the bones in the body, the brain and nerves, the digestive system and the muscular structure. There are plenty of fun details printed all around the pull-out and the pop-up portions look durable.

Younger children will need to be taught how to unfold this book as the potential for tearing even the durable paper is a possibility. Placing the book down on the floor first is highly recommended.

Very popular with children, but the removable items should come with some sort of way to hook them up, or you'll very quickly end up with a half-missing collecion of body parts.

enjoyed book great for kids and adults to learn with full size apx 3 foot pop out body., so much pops out in one book, what a surprise. great for conversations and learning bone and organ placement. great learning tool. As with all pop ups, be gentle if you want it to last.
