Good time Blues !!!,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Amazing Records! (Audio CD)
I recently found this cd on Amazon and purchased it,and love it!The Juke Jumpers were a Texas band out of the Fort Worth area back during the early '80s,and this cd is a combination of two of their albums for a local record label called Amazing Records that were recorded back in 1980-81.There was a LOT of good local blues music that came out on the Amazing label,I still have several vinyl albums they released and all were great. The Juke Jumpers were led by a Fort Worth guitarist named Jim Colegrove, but the whole band are excellent on this cd.I'm not sure whatever happened to the band, but this cd sure brought back a lot of memories. For saxophone fans,Johnny Reno does some excellent sax work on here. For me,one of the highlights is a version of Robert Johnson's Me And The Devil Blues, but there are many good songs.Enjoy!
