For anyone who is a fan of Mary Jane..., May 20, 2009
This review is from: Amazing Spider-Girl - Volume 2: Comes the Carnage! (Amazing Spider-Girl (Marvel)) (v. 2) (Paperback)
When Tom Defalco and Ron Frenz were first paired up as the creative team in the Amazing Spider-man series in the midst of the 80s, one of the first things that they did was to give the character Mary Jane, a back ground story.
In just one issue, readers learn of her tragic past that gave her a reason to put up with her party girl persona.
Those two men continue that tradition to this day within the pages of Amazing Spider-girl. Because if you thought seeing Mary Jane understanding Peter's reason of Being Spider-man, then imagine how she would feel of understanding her daughter's reasons of being Spider-girl and continuing the family legacy.
Also within this paperback book, the team of Defalco and Frenz brought back one of Spider-man's most insane foes within the 90's....Carnage, and his future fate in his world is much more dangerous than ever. As the threat he pose against Spider-girl and her family will pay a much personal price if he is to be defeated.
Either way if you're a fan of Mary Jane or Tom Defalco and/or Ron Frenz, then do look into this book.

Old Meets New!, August 30, 2011
This review is from: Amazing Spider-Girl - Volume 2: Comes the Carnage! (Amazing Spider-Girl (Marvel)) (v. 2) (Paperback)
So May Day Parker has told her parents that she has been Masquerading as the Amazing Spidergirl and they do NOT take it well.
They ground her and tell her that she cannot be Spidergirl because they fear what will happen to her at the hands of her enemies. Yet just like her father she has a sense of responsibility and she HAS to help others with her powers, so she sneaks out and fights villains.
The concept is pretty cool, but if that's not enough, then we get an injection of the pure AWESOMENESS that is Carnage! He kidnaps May's little brother and turns him into Baby-Carnage and she is forced to fight him and cure him without harming him. At the end it all wraps up nicely, but ends on a down note.
I didn't expect this to be so good, but it was outstanding. The only thing that brought it down was Mary Jane's constant moping and brooding about not wanting May to get hurt.
Check it out!
