After the first week or so using this product, I noticed the ventilation to the back portion of the cushion dwindled & only the seat portion pushed air. I suspect that the manufacturer's materials are not robust enough to hold up to the weight of an average person (although I would expect the seat to fail first). The concept is good, the execution does not live up to the potential.

Works as advertised, no more sweaty back in the heat, but it's a bit uncomfortable since it has to be stiff in order to channel the air properly, and mine didn't stay in one place, I ended up returning it and tinting my windows for some relief.

This is a very good product. I have a skin condition that itches when I get hot and this car seat provides cooling to allow me to drive in reasonable comfort.

If I had a recommendation it would be to design it such that over time a 225 pound person would not crush it, thereby reducing the air flow to the back area.

I purchased this cooling car seat and was unfortunately disappointed. I have an old car with a broken a/c and thought this would help because the sweat marks on my clothing were getting embarrassing. But the amount of air that is projected through the holes in the seat cover is so small, it barely makes a difference. I thought initially it was broken because I couldn't feel anything until I held my hand right next to the holes and could slightly feel the air. I guess it's better than nothing, but I had hoped for the price, it would be more effective.

It's not as cooling as cars that have the cooled seats built it, but it does help in 90+ heat in NYC. Quick shipping and good customer service. Thank you!

It gets really god damn hot where i live and my AC went out. I bought this and while it doesn't ancutally keep me from feeling hot, but it blows air on my back and butt getting rid of that awful "swamp-ass" scenario. Although it doesn't fully compensate, it will still save you from some uncomfortable ball sweat.

My car has leather seats and I wanted something that would prevent a sweat line down my back. After searching the internet, I came across the SummerSeat. So far it is working well.
There needs to be some additional directions concerning the mechanics of the product. Granted it has to be plugged in and turned on, but there is nothing explaining that it goes into standby mode after awhile. I turn the cushion off and restart it, but why does it happen and does it automatically come off standby mode?
I live in the tundra and want to know if the product will crack when it freezes? There is definately plastic in the construction of the cushion, just concerned wheather I need to remove the seat when it freezes.

I got this last week, and have found it to work pretty good. My leather seats would hold heat for a good 15-20 min after I get in my car in the summer. With this, I get in a hot car, it quickly cool down and makes the car much more pleasant to be in before the AC cools off the rest of the car. You just turn on the AC and direct it at the floor vents for a min or to, and then put it back to the upper vents. This puts cold air down where the fan is, so it cools you off quicker.

NOTE: It takes a couple days for it to conform to your bucket seats, so it feels a little funny when you start using it. The back part is the same size/length as the bottom part, so it doesn't come all the way up the back of your seat, which is a little annoying. Also, I wish it had vents at the end (top of the back half) to blow some air up the rest of your back. I might see if I can put some holes in it do to this. It would help air flow through the back part, keeping you cooler.

All in all, a great way to keep you cool when the summer heat has your car seats over 100 degrees.

It is a great idea, but the functionality is very lacking. One other reviewer stated his weight may have hindered the seats air flow. I weigh barely more than half his weight and there was still very litle air flow. I bought the product when my car's a/c went out, and hoped my back would stay dry on the way to work. No such luck. Not worth the price until improved.

this was a pretty good product for 62 dollars. I cannot live without it in 100 degree weather in Texas. It's not too pretty but definitely gets the job done. It stays on pretty well. Anyone suffering from hot seat especially leather needs to get it.
