This author spoke to some well known women Firefighters and this is all she could come up with as a result ? What a wasted opportunity. Very disappointing. As a female who just graduated from the Fire School, I bought the book expecting some great information or shared experiences and at least to feel inspired by those that went before me. Instead I was left feeling empty. These women are about more than a snap shot and a short paragraph in a book. I would have liked to have heard about their struggles and what they faced and overcame to get to where they are. There are no books out there that do that. Other novels "elude" to their efforts but no one author has ever captured the road these women took. There are however plenty of Firefighter books sighting the experiences of Male Firefighters.

I just felt this "book" was a waste of my time and diminished the contribution women Firefighters make and the efforts they took to get to where they are. If you are looking for something tiny and pretty to sit on your coffee table, than this "book" is for you. If you are looking for a meat and potatoes kind of book you will be disappointed.

AMAZING FIREFIGHTERS is a special little book in which we meet & make friends with an array of feminine & thoughtful people who offer us glimpses into what it is to be heroic.

Gay Reboli's black & white photographs give us the gift of a thousands unspoken words of the world of the firefighter-such everday images of lockers, fire trucks & helmets as well as a cameo portrait of each woman.

Certainly a good book to give someone you love, someone you'd like to inspire.

My sister-in-law is a firefighter and I bought this book for her for part of her Christmas gift. She was touched and loved it very much! It's wonderful, inspiring and emotional for any woman firefighter! Very good little book.

Ordered this with thoughts it would be fullfilling. Come to find out, there are many pages torn from the book,the binder of the book is coming off, 4 big gold stickers on the front page (what in the world are they for?) and the hard cover is scratched and torn all over. Absolutely disgusted with this product.
