Amazon Prime VoD on PS3 not working

I'm an Amazon Prime member, and have the Amazon app installed on my PS3, and linked my PS3 to my Amazon account. When I search a TV show/movie that's free streaming for Amazon Prime, it tells me I can buy the episodes on my PS3 and that it's free for Prime, but will not let me play anything via Prime.

An example is the Chappelle Show season 1. It says it's $1.99 an episode or free for Prime. When I click on it, it says it's $1.99 for the episode, and that it's free for Prime but won't let me click on Prime or click Play anywhere, my only option is to click Buy it Now.

I was able to stream but then bump in the night and now when I select an episode of anything it starts the circle thing then just goes right back to the amazon episode menu screen. This happens with movies or tv shows.

I am having the same problem.. Everything was working fine, and then all of the sudden, it doesn't work. I just get a spinning circle, and no video streaming.. :(

Hi guys, just thought I'd update on my situation.. Amazon VOD was working fine, then suddenly it wouldn't play or load any videos. I sent emails to amazon, with no reply, so I deleted the app from the PS3 and re-installed/re-registered it and now it is working fine. Hope that helps anyone else here.

Amazon always responds to emails. You think they wouldn't want to fix a problem with their OWN video streaming service?

Anyway the app is way better on the PS3 than the one on my Panasonic Viera.

Anyone find a resolution for this? I've unregistered and re-registered our PS3 but it still won't recognize that I am a prime member, very frustrating.

Add me to the list of very unsatisfied customers. Will not play ANY prime TV shows. Used to play prime movies and now that is hit and miss, too. Why has Amazon not seen fit to address this issue?

The simple work around, at least for me, was to just uninstall and reinstall it. Has worked fine every day since my post back in June.

I've tried un-registering and re-registering, but no luck. Is there any solution?

Yep. Getting the nice big splash screen for Downtown Abbey and a beautiful little spinning wheel that just goes and goes and goes. From the history of this problem. this service wasn't ready for primetime. Still love Amazon, but it's got to be pretty embarassing for them.

My PS3 has the same problem, locks up, gets the 'circle' in the center of the screen and sits forever without progressing. When I hook up my laptop to the TV via HDMI and stream Amazon VOD, I have absolutely no problems.

Our Amazon prime is not working on our xBox, ipads or computer. Is there a problem with the system tonight?
