If you're looking at this adapter, it's probably because of two reasons: You need to make a connection in a tight space, possibly a 90 degree angle. Or, you have an HDMI port that is constantly having HDMI cables connected to and disconnected from it. This is a well-built adapter with excellent video and audio pass-through. It makes connections more convenient since it swivels and can allow you to connect cables at a 90-degree angle. Perfect for those tight spots. Recommended.

Due to the adapter's design which allows swivelling, the wiring inside has to curve and then straighten out again in the casing. Despite the curve, the audio and video signals were not affected in my tests.

CONNECTORS: The connectors on both ends are gold plated, as are the pins inside the connectors.
Both HDMI cables I tested slid in easily and held tightly. The connection is strong, and the video and audio pass-through is also excellent. The first HDMI cable I used was an Amazon Basics HDMI cable which is a thinner cable. The other HDMI cable was a thicker Belkin cable.

SWIVEL: When laying the adapter flat, the head of the adapter can swivel/move almost 90 degrees to the left or right. The middle of the adapter is on a hinge that allows the adapter to swivel up or down vertically in a 90 degree position.

QUALITY: High quality hard plastic with gold connectors.

This is a useful adapter for either making connections in tight spaces and limited areas. It also serves the purpose of providing an endpoint where HDMI cables can be connected/disconnected multiple times without causing damage to the main connector on your equipment. Most people probably won't remove HDMI connections once they are connected, but if necessary, this is a great adapter. If I have any issues with the pass-through signal, I will update this review.

I just installed a new LED LCD HDTV on the wall with a slim mount. After installing the TV I realized that the HDMI cable would not fit between the back of the TV and the wall. I am so glad to have this adapter as it allowed for the cable to be installed easily. It also prevents the normal bending of the cable that normally occurs in tight spaces. Works perfectly. I will be getting more of these to have on hand!

I bought 2 of these units to use with my wall mounted TV. One for this TV and one for a future project. I attached the TV using my HDMI cable, selected the proper input and got a picture. I disconnected the wire from the back of the TV and added one of the adapters. No signal. OK, I say to myself let me try the other one. No signal on that one either. I put the HDMI cable back in directly and the TV picture came back. These adapters are garbage. Back to component video since the HDMI cable is quite bent behind the tv, thus the need for an adapter. RETURN ALL THE THINGS!

bought the item without reading the reviews (I know shame on me) item didnt work. plugged it in and no video/ audio. moved it around and still nothing. removed the swivel adapter and everything worked as normal. Good luck to you if you do buy.

used it to connect my TV, Blu-ray, Satellite box and AV receiver to TV. all 6 adapters did not work. One adapter did not work, some adapters did not transmit the sound and the other ones transmitted the sound (only background music, strangely) without the picture!
Be careful when you buy this item. I would srongly recommend finding an alternative.

I tried this device and it didn't work with three different HDMI cables. As soon as I take this device out of the picture, everything worked fine.

I have my TV mounted on the wall and all my cords plug in to the back of the TV. The tip recently broke off of my HDMI cable because the cable plugin stuck out of the back of the TV too far and was smashed. I bought this thinking it would alleviate the problem. This adapter is HUGE! It sticks out more than my original HDMI cable with no angle did. It cost more to return it than it did to purchase it originally so i'll bite the bullet and keep it. Did not do what i had intended and now is just collecting dust in my spare parts closet. Oh well, bought a nicer cable with an angled connection built in and it works beautifully.

This item looks well made. The packaging is great. I could not use this item as it was too thick to fit my Samsung TV. Otherwise I'm sure it would have worked as it was supposed to.

This is a good quality adapter that does everything it claims. It is well made, the swivel action is good, the connections seem to be of decent quality and it performs well. Not sure what else to say, it seems like a good product at a fair price.

If you need a swivel type HDMI adapter, this is it. It will allow you to more easily run your cables without compromising a/v quality in anyway (that I can tell).

The picture and description are accurate and represent the item well. Seems like a good value to me.

This product started burning up behind my Sharp Aquas Quattron. Lukily we smelled the burning and removed it from the back of the TV before it became a bigger issue.
