High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) has become the de facto standard for high-definition digital devices. It combines both audio and video into one convenient cable, so you can easily connect your HDTV to your A/V receiver, Blu-ray player, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, satellite dish, and other high-definition source devices. The AmazonBasics High-Speed HDMI Cable lets you take advantage of up to 1080p resolution and increased color depth on your HDTV. It also supports 3D television functionality.
The cable features an A-Male connection on one end and a B-Micro connection on the other. Typically, the A-Male is connected to the computer and the B-Micro is connected to the source device, such as the printer or external hard drive. Check your device manuals to make sure you have the right connectors.
The AmazonBasics High-Speed HDMI Flat Cable with Ethernet allows an Internet-enabled HDMI device to share its Internet connection with other HDMI devices without the need for a separate Ethernet cable. The cable also provides the connection platform to allow HDMI-enabled devices to share content between devices.
This cable is backwards compatible with all previous HDMI standards, so you'll be able to use this cable with all your HDMI devices. When you connect two devices with different HDMI standards, they will automatically find the best available connection.
This HDMI cable features shielding with a durable, black PVC outer layer. The shielding provides outstanding defense against outside interference and helps maintain the integrity and purity of the digital signal.
The cable also features gold-plated connectors that resist corrosion while offering optimal signal transfer with lower distortion at the point of contact. The result is sound and picture quality that is true to the original.
The weight of a stiff or inflexible cable can strain or even damage the HDMI ports of your HDTV or other devices over time. The AmazonBasics High-Speed HDMI Flat Cable with Ethernet gives you the flexibility to adjust the placement of your cables so they don't put extra weight on your equipment. If you use an HDMI connection frequently, you can also keep the swiveling adapter plugged in and turned up when it's not in use.
For added convenience the cable is flat, making it ideal for in- or on-wall and under-carpet installation. Additionally, the swivel connectors give you flexibility when space at the back of the component is limited.
AmazonBasics is a collection of consumer electronic "basics" created by combining quality and low prices for an overall focus on value.

Great idea for an HDMI cable, unfortunately it does NOT produce good results. Bought 4 of these for my new Denon surround system and liked the idea of the 90 degree plus the angle curve on these cables. Unfortunately they lose signal constantly and I had to replace two of them already. For instance, had one going to my PS3 and it would constantly drop the signal, LCD would black out and refresh till it picked up the signal from the Denon and showed it on the screen again. Same thing happened to my Blu-Ray Player. I simply pulled those cables and replaced them with the higher end ones I had pulled out previously and no problems since.

Analog cables are like a garden hose, the bigger they are, the more signal can get through. Digital cables, unless physically broken, or compromised in some way have no signal loss - if the o or the i get through - signal received. It is the signal converter that turns it back into high quality audio or video.
Monster and the others selling $100+ cables, spend vast amounts of money on advertising to massage the ignorant and arrogant out of their money. This Amazon Basics High Speed HDMI Cable articulates two directions (very cool). The cable is clean looking, well put together - and does not look cheap. At this price a guy can buy several, just to have around.
