You can buy an inexpensive HDMI switch that will allow you to connect multiple devices to one HDMI input port on the TV.

Nope... The HDMI wire handles video and audio with a single connection.

Its long enough for all my needs. And I haven't had any compatibility issues. I have a Roku 2 XS, my laptop, Xbox 360 etc all play fine

Yes it will. I have plugged in a PS3, Xbox and a 3D blu ray player. All work awesome.

Yes it will work with sony or any other brand of blu ray/dvd player with wifi.

Directly, this will not plug into your macbook. You must have the adapter from Apple or a 3rd party vendor.

It doesn't specifically state 2.0, but from what I have read, there is no port or cable change with HDMI 2.0. The changes lie with the device only.
