Very high quality item at a very low price. I was impressed with the quality and packaging. I highly recommend it.

I bought this cable to connect a laser printer to my computer. It is pretty well-made and the price is great. There is no need to buy more expensive brands.

This cable was exactly what I needed for my new printer. I'm very happy I chose it over some other brand on Amazon or elsewhere. Neatly packaged, very good quality. I can see myself purchasing this exact item again if the need arises.

Definitely liking these cables, especially at the price point. Kind of slick to have cables branded by Amazon, even if they're made off-shore. All the reviews about the quality are definitely on the mark and I definitely feel good about this purchase after having them in hand and using them.

I purchased this one in particular to replace the (ugly) gray, cheap-as-possible and of course too-short cable that came with my external HD enclosure. Talk about an upgrade. You don't know crappy your cables are until you replace them with something that looks and functions much better.

Again, this was definitely worth the measly price and the quality speaks for itself. I would absolutely purchase these again.

A basic PC to printer USB 2.0 cable at a great price. One tenth the cost of big box stores price for essentially the same cable. Don't pay for packaging and brand name when all you need is a cable that does what it is suppose to do.

Purchased 12/30/2010. Excellant usb cord for any of your extension needs that requires male usb a to male usb b. Highly recommend if you buy the powered 7 port usb hub!

Even with shipping cost, this item was less than 1/2 price of same item from Best Buy.

The USB cable looks good and is priced well. Oh yeah - it works too. What else could you ask for?

Please be VERY careful and look at the picture before ordering this cable. This is NOT what we normally view as the 'generic' USB cable. For that, look for a "USB-A to MINI-B male" cable.

This is a relatively rare configuration as most devices today will require either a MICRO-B or a MINI-B connector. The full USB-B connector is still in use with some USB-connected disk drives, printers or speakers. A cable such as this may be needed because some vendors chose not to provide a cable with the device they sell.

I ordered mine because I wanted one 'in black' for a new USB-connected speaker that came without it and my only spare was white and, at this price, with free shipping, I thought it was worth the expense. I am happy to testify that Amazon's wire works perfectly. The cable is well built and it appears to have gold-plated connectors - at least they look 'gold'.


While USB cables are clearly a commodity item these days, AmazonBasics cables do have a couple of advantages over the competition.

- EASY RETURN - I know because I had to return quite a few items for various reasons. Amazon makes it very easy and, if you are returning the item because it came defective or damaged Amazon pays for shipping.

- WARRANTY - these wires come with a 1-year warranty.I am highly confident that Amazon will be around to honor its warranty and I'm not so sure about vendors I know less.

- QUALITY ASSURANCE - I've never had any problems with 'cheap' USB or HDMI cables but it may be reassuring to have Amazon's name on a wire. My assumption is that Amazon did insist on some quality checks before they stamped their logo on the product.

- PRICE - This cable may appear more expensive than others but keep in mind that, unlike most, it qualifies for SuperSavers and Amazon Prime free shipping.

I am awarding this item 5 stars for price and quality - there's nothing to complain. There may be better deals out there, pricewise but I decided to go with the Amazon brand in this case for the reasons cited above.

This USB cable does the job connecting a printer to the laptop computer. It is not of the highest quality, but it is adequate. Unfortunately, the shipping charge by Amazon was higher than the cost of the cable. If the new printer I bought at the same time had included a cable this would not have been a problem. Also, the printer was not from Amazon, but from an associated vendor. So even though the printer was shipped free, the cable from Amazon was not. Even with the shipping charge, however, the total price was less than for a similar cable from a local store.
